年長婦女、舉止亦宜溫恭有禮、毋道人短、或沉湎於酒、務須循循善誘、

又劝老年妇人，举止行动要恭敬，不说谗言，不给酒作奴仆，用善道教训人，

又要劝年长的妇女在操守上恭正，不说谗言，不作酒的奴隶，用善道教导人，

Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good.

In the same way, teach the older women to lead a holy life. They must not tell lies about others. They must not let wine control them. Instead, they must teach what is good.

教訓少婦、敬夫慈子、

女司亦宜莊重自愛、毋道人短、溫恭和平、謹事而信。

毋事外飾、辮髮、金玦、文繡皆非所宜。惟修養內心、以溫柔嫻靜之精神為飾、則可大可久、天主所珍也。在昔懿德之婦、亦莫不以此自飾、仰望天主、敬事其夫。

信女服裝、務宜端正素樸、若辮髮、金珠、文繡、皆非所宜。吾望服膺聖教之婦人、皆能以懿德琦行自飾也。

蓋司牧乃天主之家宰、是宜無懈可擊、毋剛愎自用、毋暴氣動怒。凡嗜酒毆人、貪婪財貨、皆非所宜。

為副祭者、亦須莊重自愛、弗可一口兩舌、飲酒無度、貪婪不義之財；

茲特介紹與爾、務請仰體主心、殷勤接納、一切予以照拂、以盡同道之誼。彼在過去曾照拂多人、予亦曾受其惠也。

寡婦守節、而一無倚靠者、必能一心仰望天主、恆常祈禱、不舍晝夜。若夫淫蕩之寡婦、則雖生猶死矣務將此道教之、耳提面命、庶幾無過。若有不顧戚族、不養家人、斯乃背信、其行視不信者猶有愧色。寡婦年逾六十、而未再醮者、乃可予以入冊。其人必須有賢德之稱曾教養兒女善待賓客、且為聖徒洗足、平生濟人之難、周人之急、孳孳為善、惟日不足者、方得稱是。

以資歷論、爾等此時應可為人師矣；而在實際、仍須人教爾等以淺近之教理、一如乳臭兒之未可遽進以乾糧也。

吾所不滿於爾者、以爾優容彼婦葉撒伯爾也。該婦自稱女先知、而以邪道熒惑吾之諸僕、誘其行淫、且食祭像之物。

至於奸非浮穢貪婪之事、非聖徒所可道也。

毋庸再飲清水、可飲酒少許、以健脾胃當有補於汝多病之身也。
