同樣，年長的婦女在舉止行為上要合乎聖潔、不惡意控告、不成為酒的奴隸，要教導美好的事；

又劝老年妇人，举止行动要恭敬，不说谗言，不给酒作奴仆，用善道教训人，

又要劝年长的妇女在操守上恭正，不说谗言，不作酒的奴隶，用善道教导人，

老婦所為、亦當敬虔、勿謠諑、勿嗜酒、宜以善教人、

老婦所為、亦當合乎聖虔、勿讒毀、勿嗜酒、以善教人、

年長婦女、舉止亦宜溫恭有禮、毋道人短、或沉湎於酒、務須循循善誘、

Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good.

In the same way, teach the older women to lead a holy life. They must not tell lies about others. They must not let wine control them. Instead, they must teach what is good.

這樣，她們可以訓導年輕的婦女愛丈夫、愛兒女、

照樣，他們的妻子也必須莊重，不惡意控告人，有節制，在一切事上都忠心。

你們的美麗之處不應該是外在的，如編頭髮、戴金飾、穿華服，而應該是心裡面內在的人，帶著不朽壞的品性，出於謙和、安靜的靈；這在神面前是極其貴重的。實際上，從前盼望神的那些聖潔婦女，也是這樣裝飾自己，服從自己丈夫的；

照樣，我也希望女人衣著端莊，以廉恥和自制來裝飾自己；不以編髮、金飾、珍珠或極其貴重的衣裳來裝飾自己，反而要用美善的行為，與稱為敬神的女人相宜。

因為，身為神的管家，做監督的必須無可指責、不任性、不暴躁、不酗酒、不好鬥、不貪圖不正當的利益；

做執事的也一樣，必須莊重，不一口兩舌，不酗酒，不貪圖不正當的利益，

請你們在主裡以聖徒配得的方式來歡迎她。無論她在什麼事上需要你們，都請你們幫助她，因為她實在幫助了許多人，也幫助了我。

那真正的寡婦，無依無靠，已經把盼望寄託於神，日夜不住地祈求禱告；而那享樂度日的寡婦，雖然活著，卻是死的。你當吩咐這些事，好使她們無可指責。如果有人不敬重屬自己的人，尤其是家裡的人，他就否定了信仰，比不信的人更壞。應當算入寡婦之列的，不可小於六十歲；只做過一個男人的妻子；並且必須有美好行為的名聲，就如養育孩子、接待客旅、洗聖徒的腳、幫助受患難的人、追隨一切美善的工作。

其實從時間來說，你們早就應該做教師了，卻還需要有人把神話語的基本原則重新教導你們；你們成了那需要吃奶、而不能吃乾糧的人。

然而，我有事要責備你，就是你容忍那自稱是女先知的婦人耶洗別，教唆並迷惑我的奴僕們行淫亂、吃祭過偶像的食物。

至於淫亂和一切汙穢，或是貪心，在你們中間連提都不可提，這樣才與聖徒相宜。

由於你胃的問題和常患的那些疾病，你今後不要只喝水，要用一點酒。
