Because God wanted to show His unchangeable purpose even more clearly to the heirs of the promise, He guaranteed it with an oath,so that through two unchangeable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled for refuge might have strong encouragement to seize the hope set before us.

God is not a man who lies, or a son of man who changes His mind. Does He speak and not act, or promise and not fulfill?

And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.The one who has the Son has life. The one who doesn’t have the Son of God does not have life.I have written these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life.

endurance produces proven character, and proven character produces hope.
