在潔淨的人、凡物都潔淨，在染污的和不信的人、甚麼都不潔淨，反而連他們的心思和良知也都染污了。

在洁净的人，凡物都洁净；在污秽不信的人，什么都不洁净，连心地和天良也都污秽了。

To the pure, all things are pure, but to those who are corrupted and do not believe, nothing is pure. In fact, both their minds and consciences are corrupted.

To people who are pure, all things are pure. But to those who have twisted minds and don’t believe, nothing is pure. In fact, their minds and their sense of what is right and wrong are twisted.

我知道，並在主耶穌裏深信，凡物自身沒有俗污的；惟獨人若以某物為俗污，那物對那人就俗污了。

你可別因食物的緣故來拆毁上帝所造的人了！凡物都是潔淨的；但若有人喫東西而帶着碰倒人的事，這在那人就是惡的了。

『凡事都可行』，但不都有益；『凡事都可行』，但不都能建立人。

他們禁止嫁娶，禁戒食物，就是上帝所創造、給信徒和認識真理的人用感謝心享受的。上帝創造之物都是好的；用感謝心領受，沒有一樣是可棄的；

但疑惑的人若喫了，就受定罪，因為不是出於信心：凡不出於信心的都是罪。

『凡事於我都可行』，但不都有益。『凡事於我都可行』，但我總不受任何事物的轄制。食物是為肚子，肚子也是為食物；但無論這個和那個，上帝都要廢掉。身體不是為淫亂，乃是為主的；主也是為身體的。

主對他說：『杯盤的外面、你們法利賽人固然潔淨了，但你們裏面呢、卻滿了勒索和邪惡！糊塗人哪，那造外面的、不也造裏面麼？其實你們只要把裏邊的施捨給人，那麼一切對你們就都潔淨了。

惟獨從口裏出來的，是出於心；那才能使人俗污呢。

所以你們或喫或喝，或作甚麼事，都要為上帝的榮耀而作。

聲音又第二次對他說：『上帝所潔淨的、你別當作俗污了。』

但這種知識不都在眾人心裏。有人因了拜偶像的習慣力存到現在，喫東西還像喫祭偶像之物一樣；他們的良知既然軟弱，就被沾染了污穢。

凡肉市上所賣的、你們只管喫；為着良知的緣故、不要問甚麼；

哈該又說：『若有因死人而不潔淨的觸着這些東西的任何一件，這東西算為不潔淨麼？』祭司回答說：『該算為不潔淨。』

何況基督的血呢？基督藉着永恆的靈、將自己無瑕無疵地獻與上帝，他、的血豈不更能潔淨我們的良知，除去屬死的行為，使我們能事奉永活的上帝麼？

我們就可以用真心、本着堅確的信心、進前去朝拜，心被血灑過、除去邪惡的意識，身體也用清水洗淨過。

不斷喧爭、於心思敗壞、真理被剝奪、以敬虔為利源的人中間。

『你要告訴國中的眾民和祭司說：你們這七十年在五月間和七月間禁食和舉哀，哪裏真是向我而禁食呢？你們喫，你們喝，豈不是你們自己喫，自己喝呢？

眼高心傲、惡人之炫耀自己都是罪。

所以無論何人，不配地喫主的餅，喝主的杯，就該擔受辜負主身主血的罪責。人須要察驗自己，然後喫餅喝杯。喫喝的人若不分辨這身體是甚麼，就是喫喝了自受的定罪。
