who forbid marriage and require abstinence from foods that God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth.For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving,

But whoever has doubts is condemned if he eats, because the eating is not from faith. For whatever does not proceed from faith is sin.

“ All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are helpful.“ All things are lawful for me,” but I will not be dominated by anything.“ Food is meant for the stomach and the stomach for food”— and God will destroy both one and the other. The body is not meant for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body.

And the Lord said to him,“ Now you Pharisees cleanse the outside of the cup and of the dish, but inside you are full of greed and wickedness.You fools! Did not he who made the outside make the inside also?But give as alms those things that are within, and behold, everything is clean for you.

But what comes out of the mouth proceeds from the heart, and this defiles a person.

So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.

And the voice came to him again a second time,“ What God has made clean, do not call common.”

However, not all possess this knowledge. But some, through former association with idols, eat food as really offered to an idol, and their conscience, being weak, is defiled.

Eat whatever is sold in the meat market without raising any question on the ground of conscience.

Then Haggai said,“ If someone who is unclean by contact with a dead body touches any of these, does it become unclean?” The priests answered and said,“ It does become unclean.”

how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God, purify our conscience from dead works to serve the living God.

let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, with our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.

and constant friction among people who are depraved in mind and deprived of the truth, imagining that godliness is a means of gain.

“ Say to all the people of the land and the priests,‘ When you fasted and mourned in the fifth month and in the seventh, for these seventy years, was it for me that you fasted?And when you eat and when you drink, do you not eat for yourselves and drink for yourselves?

Haughty eyes and a proud heart, the lamp of the wicked, are sin.

Whoever, therefore, eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty concerning the body and blood of the Lord.Let a person examine himself, then, and so eat of the bread and drink of the cup.For anyone who eats and drinks without discerning the body eats and drinks judgment on himself.
