由潔者視之、凡物皆潔；若由不潔不信者視之、則萬物皆污、實則其心地自不淨耳。

To the pure, all things are pure, but to those who are corrupted and do not believe, nothing is pure. In fact, both their minds and consciences are corrupted.

To people who are pure, all things are pure. But to those who have twisted minds and don’t believe, nothing is pure. In fact, their minds and their sense of what is right and wrong are twisted.

I know and am persuaded in the Lord Jesus that nothing is unclean in itself. Still, to someone who considers a thing to be unclean, to that one it is unclean.

Do not tear down God’s work because of food. Everything is clean, but it is wrong to make someone fall by what he eats.

“ Everything is permissible,” but not everything is beneficial.“ Everything is permissible,” but not everything builds up.

They forbid marriage and demand abstinence from foods that God created to be received with gratitude by those who believe and know the truth.For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving,

But whoever doubts stands condemned if he eats, because his eating is not from faith, and everything that is not from faith is sin.

“ Everything is permissible for me,” but not everything is beneficial.“ Everything is permissible for me,” but I will not be mastered by anything.“ Food is for the stomach and the stomach for food,” and God will do away with both of them. However, the body is not for sexual immorality but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body.

But the Lord said to him,“ Now you Pharisees clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside you are full of greed and evil.Fools! Didn’t he who made the outside make the inside too?But give from what is within to the poor, and then everything is clean for you.

But what comes out of the mouth comes from the heart, and this defiles a person.

So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do everything for the glory of God.

Again, a second time, the voice said to him,“ What God has made clean, do not call impure.”

However, not everyone has this knowledge. Some have been so used to idolatry up until now that when they eat food sacrificed to an idol, their conscience, being weak, is defiled.

Eat everything that is sold in the meat market, without raising questions for the sake of conscience,

Then Haggai asked,“ If someone defiled by contact with a corpse touches any of these, does it become defiled?” The priests answered,“ It becomes defiled.”

how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God, cleanse our consciences from dead works so that we can serve the living God?

let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, with our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed in pure water.

and constant disagreement among people whose minds are depraved and deprived of the truth, who imagine that godliness is a way to material gain.

“ Ask all the people of the land and the priests: When you fasted and lamented in the fifth and in the seventh months for these seventy years, did you really fast for me?When you eat and drink, don’t you eat and drink simply for yourselves?

The lamp that guides the wicked— haughty eyes and an arrogant heart— is sin.

So, then, whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of sin against the body and blood of the Lord.Let a person examine himself; in this way let him eat the bread and drink from the cup.For whoever eats and drinks without recognizing the body, eats and drinks judgment on himself.
