See, I have written your name on the palms of my hands. Always in my mind is a picture of Jerusalem’s walls in ruins.

But when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and others will dress you and take you where you don’t want to go.”Jesus said this to let him know by what kind of death he would glorify God. Then Jesus told him,“ Follow me.”

“ In this way, Aaron will carry the names of the tribes of Israel on the sacred chestpiece over his heart when he goes into the Holy Place. This will be a continual reminder that he represents the people when he comes before the Lord.Insert the Urim and Thummim into the sacred chestpiece so they will be carried over Aaron’s heart when he goes into the Lord’s presence. In this way, Aaron will always carry over his heart the objects used to determine the Lord’s will for his people whenever he goes in before the Lord.

You will heap burning coals of shame on their heads, and the Lord will reward you.

Each stone will represent one of the twelve sons of Israel, and the name of that tribe will be engraved on it like a seal.

“ Phinehas son of Eleazar and grandson of Aaron the priest has turned my anger away from the Israelites by being as zealous among them as I was. So I stopped destroying all Israel as I had intended to do in my zealous anger.

“ Take two onyx stones, and engrave on them the names of the tribes of Israel.Six names will be on each stone, arranged in the order of the births of the original sons of Israel.Engrave these names on the two stones in the same way a jeweler engraves a seal. Then mount the stones in settings of gold filigree.Fasten the two stones on the shoulder pieces of the ephod as a reminder that Aaron represents the people of Israel. Aaron will carry these names on his shoulders as a constant reminder whenever he goes before the Lord.

Instead,“ If your enemies are hungry, feed them. If they are thirsty, give them something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals of shame on their heads.”

But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus— the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God.

For I am jealous for you with the jealousy of God himself. I promised you as a pure bride to one husband— Christ.

I long, yes, I faint with longing to enter the courts of the Lord. With my whole being, body and soul, I will shout joyfully to the living God.

Now look at the jewel I have set before Jeshua, a single stone with seven facets. I will engrave an inscription on it, says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, and I will remove the sins of this land in a single day.

But God’s truth stands firm like a foundation stone with this inscription:“ The Lord knows those who are his,” and“ All who belong to the Lord must turn away from evil.”

O God, you are my God; I earnestly search for you. My soul thirsts for you; my whole body longs for you in this parched and weary land where there is no water.
