After he said this, Jesus told Peter,“ Follow me.”

Aaron will bear the names of the sons of Israel in the breastpiece of decision over his heart when he goes into the holy place, for a memorial before the LORD continually.“ You are to put the Urim and the Thummim into the breastpiece of decision; and they are to be over Aaron’s heart when he goes in before the LORD. Aaron is to bear the decisions of the Israelites over his heart before the LORD continually.

for you will heap coals of fire on his head, and the LORD will reward you.

The stones are to be for the names of the sons of Israel, twelve, according to the number of their names. Each name according to the twelve tribes is to be like the engravings of a seal.

As a deer longs for streams of water, so I long for you, O God!I thirst for God, for the living God. I say,“ When will I be able to go and appear in God’s presence?”

“ Phinehas son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, has turned my anger away from the Israelites, when he manifested such zeal for my sake among them, so that I did not consume the Israelites in my zeal.

“ You are to take two onyx stones and engrave on them the names of the sons of Israel,six of their names on one stone, and the six remaining names on the second stone, according to the order of their birth.You are to engrave the two stones with the names of the sons of Israel with the work of an engraver in stone, like the engravings of a seal; you are to have them set in gold filigree settings.You are to put the two stones on the shoulders of the ephod, stones of memorial for the sons of Israel, and Aaron will bear their names before the LORD on his two shoulders for a memorial.

Rather, if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in doing this you will be heaping burning coals on his head.

But I do not consider my life worth anything to myself, so that I may finish my task and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the good news of God’s grace.

For I am jealous for you with godly jealousy, because I promised you in marriage to one husband, to present you as a pure virgin to Christ.

I desperately want to be in the courts of the LORD’s temple. My heart and my entire being shout for joy to the living God.

As for the stone I have set before Joshua– on the one stone there are seven eyes. I am about to engrave an inscription on it,’ says the LORD who rules over all,‘ to the effect that I will remove the iniquity of this land in a single day.

However, God’s solid foundation remains standing, bearing this seal:“ The Lord knows those who are his,” and“ Everyone who confesses the name of the Lord must turn away from evil.”

O God, you are my God! I long for you! My soul thirsts for you, my flesh yearns for you, in a dry and parched land where there is no water.
