因为王有他施船队与希兰船队一同在海上航行。他施船队三年一次运来金银、象牙、猿猴和孔雀。

求我们主耶稣基督的神，荣耀的父，赐给你们智慧和启示的灵，使你们充分地认识他，并且使你们心灵的眼睛明亮，可以知道他的呼召有怎样的盼望；他基业的荣耀，在圣徒中是多么的丰盛；

亚哈其余的事迹，他所作的一切，他建造的象牙宫和他重建的一切城镇，不是都记在以色列诸王的年代志上吗？

亚伯兰说：“主耶和华啊，我一向都没有孩子，你还能赐给我什么呢？这样，承受我家业的，就是大马士革人以利以谢了。”

不要惧怕，因为你必不致蒙羞；也不要抱愧，因为你必不致受辱，你必忘记你幼年时的羞愧，也不再记念你寡居时的耻辱。

我所祷告的，是要你们的爱心，在充足的知识和各样的见识上，多而又多，使你们可以辨别是非，成为真诚无可指摘的人，直到基督的日子，
