他把園子的泥土挖鬆了，撿去石頭，栽種了上好的葡萄樹；在園中建造了一座守望樓，又鑿了一個榨酒池。他期望結出好葡萄，卻結出野葡萄。耶路撒冷的居民和猶大人哪！現在請你們在我與我的葡萄園之間斷定是非吧！我為我的葡萄園所作的以外，還有甚麼要作的呢？我期望它結出好葡萄，它為甚麼倒結出野葡萄呢？

義人必像棕樹一樣繁茂，像黎巴嫩的香柏樹一樣高聳。他們栽在耶和華的殿中，在我們神的院子裡繁茂生長。他們年老的時候仍要結果子，經常保持茂盛青翠，好顯明耶和華是正直的；他是我的磐石，在他裡面沒有不義。

他遠遠看見一棵長滿了葉子的無花果樹，就走過去，看看是否可以在樹上找到甚麼。到了樹下，除了葉子甚麼也找不著，因為這不是收無花果的時候。

我的良人下到自己的園中，下到香花畦那裡，在園內細賞，採摘百合花。

耶和華神使各樣的樹從地上長起來，能悅人的眼目，也好作食物。園子中間又有生命樹，和知善惡樹。

過了一些時候，保羅對巴拿巴說：“我們要回到我們傳過主道的各城，探望弟兄們，好知道他們的情形怎麼樣。”

我的妹妹，我的新婦，是上了閂的園子，是上了鎖的水井，是封閉了的泉源。你所栽種的是一所石榴園，有極美的果子，有鳳仙花和哪噠樹。有哪噠和番紅花，菖蒲和肉桂，以及各種乳香樹、沒藥和沉香，與各樣精選的香料。你是園中的泉源，是活水的井，是從黎巴嫩山流下來的溪水。

我的妹妹，我的新婦啊！我進了我的園中；我採了我的沒藥與香料；我吃了我的蜂房與蜂蜜；我喝了我的酒和奶。朋友們！你們要開懷吃喝；親愛的啊！你們要不醉無歸。

他對管園的說：‘你看，這三年，我來到這棵無花果樹那裡找果子，卻找不到，把它砍了吧！何必白佔地土呢？’

不是你們揀選了我，而是我揀選了你們，並且分派你們去結果子，就是結常存的果子，使你們奉我的名，無論向父求甚麼，他必定賜給你們。
