Yea, when I cry, and call for help, he shutteth out my prayer.

Unto thee, O Jehovah, will I call: My rock, be not thou deaf unto me; Lest, if thou be silent unto me, I become like them that go down into the pit.

Whither is thy beloved gone, O thou fairest among women? Whither hath thy beloved turned him, That we may seek him with thee?

And thy righteousness in the land of forgetfulness?But unto thee, O Jehovah, have I cried; And in the morning shall my prayer come before thee.Jehovah, why castest thou off my soul? Why hidest thou thy face from me?

O Jehovah God of hosts, How long wilt thou be angry against the prayer of thy people?

And when Saul inquired of Jehovah, Jehovah answered him not, neither by dreams, nor by Urim, nor by prophets.

Thou, Jehovah, of thy favor hadst made my mountain to stand strong: Thou didst hide thy face; I was troubled.

For I will not contend for ever, neither will I be always wroth; for the spirit would faint before me, and the souls that I have made.
