好像僕人等候自己的主人從婚宴上回來。他來叩門，就立刻給他開門。

你園內所種的結了石榴，有佳美的果子，並鳳仙花與哪噠樹。有哪噠和番紅花，香菖蒲和桂樹，並各樣乳香木、沒藥、沉香，與一切上等的香料。

如今我歡喜，不是因你們曾憂愁，而是因憂愁導致你們的悔改。你們依着上帝的意思憂愁，凡事就不至於因我們受虧損了。因為依着上帝的意思而憂愁，就生出沒有懊悔的悔改來，以致得救；但世俗的憂愁叫人死。你看，你們依着上帝的意思而憂愁，這在你們當中產生了何等的殷勤、甚至辯白、甚至憤慨、甚至恐懼、甚至渴望、甚至熱忱、甚至責罰。在這一切事上，你們都表明自己是無可指責的。

那如煙柱從曠野上來，薰了沒藥、乳香，撲上商人各樣香粉的是誰呢？

不但藉着他來，也藉着他從你們所得的安慰，安慰了我們，因為他把你們的思念，你們的哀慟，你們對我的熱忱，都告訴了我，使我更加歡喜。
