看哪！我站在門外敲門；如果有人聽見我的聲音就開門的，我要進到他那裡去，我要跟他在一起，他也要跟我在一起吃飯。

使基督藉著你們的信，住在你們心裡，使你們既然在愛中扎根建基，

像等候自己的主人從婚筵回來一樣，好叫你們在主人回來敲門時，立刻給他開門。

你所栽種的是一所石榴園，有極美的果子，有鳳仙花和哪噠樹。有哪噠和番紅花，菖蒲和肉桂，以及各種乳香樹、沒藥和沉香，與各樣精選的香料。

現在我快樂，不是因為你們憂傷，而是因為你們的憂傷帶來了悔改。你們依照神的意思憂傷，凡事就不會因我們受到虧損。因為依照神的意思而有的憂傷，可以生出沒有懊悔的悔改，以致得救；世俗的憂傷卻會招致死亡。看哪，你們依照神的意思憂傷，在你們中間就產生了怎樣的熱情、申訴、憤慨、戰兢、渴望、熱誠、正義；你們在各方面都表明了自己在那事上是清白的。

那從曠野上來，好像煙柱；用商人販賣的各種香粉、沒藥和乳香薰過的，是誰呢？

不但藉著他來，也藉著他從你們所得的安慰，安慰了我們。他把你們的渴望、你們的哀慟和你們對我的熱誠，都告訴了我們，因此我就更加歡喜了。
