So now, look! I have brought the first of the ground’s produce that you, LORD, have given me.” Then you must set it down before the LORD your God and worship before him.You will celebrate all the good things that the LORD your God has given you and your family, along with the Levites and the resident foreigners among you.When you finish tithing all your income in the third year( the year of tithing), you must give it to the Levites, the resident foreigners, the orphans, and the widows so that they may eat to their satisfaction in your villages.Then you shall say before the LORD your God,“ I have removed the sacred offering from my house and given it to the Levites, the resident foreigners, the orphans, and the widows just as you have commanded me. I have not violated or forgotten your commandments.I have not eaten anything when I was in mourning, or removed any of it while ceremonially unclean, or offered any of it to the dead; I have obeyed you and have done everything you have commanded me.

I went down to the orchard of walnut trees, to look for the blossoms of the valley, to see if the vines had budded or if the pomegranates were in bloom.

The LORD swears an oath by his right hand, by his strong arm:“ I will never again give your grain to your enemies as food, and foreigners will not drink your wine, which you worked hard to produce.But those who harvest the grain will eat it, and will praise the LORD. Those who pick the grapes will drink the wine in the courts of my holy sanctuary.”

You will be enriched in every way so that you may be generous on every occasion, which is producing through us thanksgiving to God,because the service of this ministry is not only providing for the needs of the saints but is also overflowing with many thanks to God.Through the evidence of this service they will glorify God because of your obedience to your confession in the gospel of Christ and the generosity of your sharing with them and with everyone.And in their prayers on your behalf they long for you because of the extraordinary grace God has shown to you.Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!

The LORD who rules over all will guard them, and they will prevail and overcome with sling stones. The LORD will continually lead you; he will feed you even in parched regions. He will give you renewed strength, and you will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring that continually produces water.

And the king will answer them,‘ I tell you the truth, just as you did it for one of the least of these brothers or sisters of mine, you did it for me.’

Then when she has found it, she calls together her friends and neighbors, saying,‘ Rejoice with me, for I have found the coin that I had lost.’In the same way, I tell you, there is joy in the presence of God’s angels over one sinner who repents.”

And do not get drunk with wine, which is debauchery, but be filled by the Spirit,

As for God’s chosen people who are in the land, and the leading officials I admired so much–

Her profits and earnings will be set apart for the LORD. They will not be stored up or accumulated, for her profits will be given to those who live in the LORD’s presence and will be used to purchase large quantities of food and beautiful clothes.

“ I tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body, and after that have nothing more they can do.

“ Hey, all who are thirsty, come to the water! You who have no money, come! Buy and eat! Come! Buy wine and milk without money and without cost!Why pay money for something that will not nourish you? Why spend your hard-earned money on something that will not satisfy? Listen carefully to me and eat what is nourishing! Enjoy fine food!

Certainly the LORD will console Zion; he will console all her ruins. He will make her wilderness like Eden, her desert like the Garden of the LORD. Happiness and joy will be restored to her, thanksgiving and the sound of music.

So this is what the sovereign LORD says:“ Look, my servants will eat, but you will be hungry! Look, my servants will drink, but you will be thirsty! Look, my servants will rejoice, but you will be humiliated!

Having suffered, he will reflect on his work, he will be satisfied when he understands what he has done.“ My servant will acquit many, for he carried their sins.

The LORD takes delight in his faithful followers, and in those who wait for his loyal love.
