You are a garden locked up, my sister, my bride; you are a spring enclosed, a sealed fountain.

My bride, you are like a garden that is locked up. My sister, you are like a spring of water that has a fence around it. You are like a fountain that is sealed up.

A garden locked is my sister, my bride, a spring locked, a fountain sealed.

You are my private garden, my treasure, my bride, a secluded spring, a hidden fountain.

My sister, my bride, you are a locked garden— a locked garden and a sealed spring.

Drink waters out of thine own cistern, and running waters out of thine own well.Let thy fountains be dispersed abroad,[ and] rivers of waters in the streets.Let them be only thine own, and not strangers’ with thee.Let thy fountain be blessed: and rejoice with the wife of thy youth.

What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost[ which is] in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.

I went down into the garden of nuts to see the fruits of the valley,[ and] to see whether the vine flourished,[ and] the pomegranates budded.

Then shall we know,[ if] we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter[ and] former rain unto the earth.

And thither were all the flocks gathered: and they rolled the stone from the well’s mouth, and watered the sheep, and put the stone again stone the well’s mouth in his place.

And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither[ whatsoever] worketh abomination, or[ maketh] a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.

In whom ye also[ trusted], after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

Therefore they shall come and sing in the height of Zion, and shall flow together to the goodness of the LORD, for wheat, and for wine, and for oil, and for the young of the flock and of the herd: and their soul shall be as a watered garden; and they shall not sorrow any more at all.

And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.

Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.

There is difference[ also] between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman careth for the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit: but she that is married careth for the things of the world, how she may please[ her] husband.

And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats: but God shall destroy both it and them. Now the body[ is] not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body.

My beloved is gone down into his garden, to the beds of spices, to feed in the gardens, and to gather lilies.

Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.

I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh[ himself] with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth[ herself] with her jewels.For as the earth bringeth forth her bud, and as the garden causeth the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.
