大能者啊！願你腰間佩上刀，彰顯你的尊榮和威嚴。

所以，我們不要沉睡像別人一樣，總要警醒謹慎。因為睡覺的人是在晚上睡，醉酒的人是在晚上醉；但我們既然屬於白晝，就應當謹慎，披上信和愛的胸甲，戴上救恩的盼望作頭盔。

願聖民因所得的榮耀高興，願他們在床上歡呼。願稱讚神的話常在他們口中；願他們手裡拿著兩刃的劍，為要報復列國，懲罰萬民；用鎖鍊捆住他們的君王，用鐵鐐鎖住他們的權貴，要在他們身上施行記錄在冊上的審判。這就是他所有聖民的尊榮。你們要讚美耶和華。

拿起信心的盾牌，用來撲滅那惡者所有的火箭；並且要戴上救恩的頭盔，拿起聖靈的寶劍，就是神的道，藉著各樣的禱告和祈求，隨時在聖靈裡祈禱，並且要在這事上恆久警醒，為眾聖徒祈求。

“我耶和華是看守葡萄園的；我時刻澆灌著它，並且為免有人毀壞它，我日夜都看守著。

我們就這樣作工；一半人緊握著槍，從黎明直到星宿出現的時候。那時，我又對眾人說：“各人和他的僕人都要在耶路撒冷城中過夜，這樣他們可以在夜間作我們的守衛，日間工作。”
