I will get up now and go about the city, through its streets and squares; I will search for the one my heart loves. So I looked for him but did not find him.

On the top of high places by the way, Where the paths meet, she standeth;Beside the gates, at the entry of the city, At the coming in at the doors, she crieth aloud:

Will the Lord cast off for ever? And will he be favorable no more?Is his lovingkindness clean gone for ever? Doth his promise fail for evermore?Hath God forgotten to be gracious? Hath he in anger shut up his tender mercies?[ SelahAnd I said, This is my infirmity; But I will remember the years of the right hand of the Most High.

Wherefore he saith, Awake, thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall shine upon thee.

Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy waterfalls: All thy waves and thy billows are gone over me.Yet Jehovah will command his lovingkindness in the day- time; And in the night his song shall be with me, Even a prayer unto the God of my life.I will say unto God my rock, Why hast thou forgotten me? Why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?

And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them sleeping, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour?Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
