Isaiah said these things because he saw Christ’s glory, and spoke about him.

Concerning this salvation, the prophets who predicted the grace that would come to you searched and investigated carefully.They probed into what person or time the Spirit of Christ within them was indicating when he testified beforehand about the sufferings appointed for Christ and his subsequent glory.They were shown that they were serving not themselves but you, in regard to the things now announced to you through those who proclaimed the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven– things angels long to catch a glimpse of.

You study the scriptures thoroughly because you think in them you possess eternal life, and it is these same scriptures that testify about me,

Then they told what had happened on the road, and how they recognized him when he broke the bread.

If you believed Moses, you would believe me, because he wrote about me.

these are only the shadow of the things to come, but the reality is Christ!

For the law possesses a shadow of the good things to come but not the reality itself, and is therefore completely unable, by the same sacrifices offered continually, year after year, to perfect those who come to worship.

and not like Moses who used to put a veil over his face to keep the Israelites from staring at the result of the glory that was made ineffective.But their minds were closed. For to this very day, the same veil remains when they hear the old covenant read. It has not been removed because only in Christ is it taken away.But until this very day whenever Moses is read, a veil lies over their minds,but when one turns to the Lord, the veil is removed.Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is present, there is freedom.And we all, with unveiled faces reflecting the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another, which is from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

For he is our peace, the one who made both groups into one and who destroyed the middle wall of partition, the hostility,when he nullified in his flesh the law of commandments in decrees. He did this to create in himself one new man out of two, thus making peace,

The three sons of Zeruiah were there– Joab, Abishai, and Asahel.( Now Asahel was as quick on his feet as one of the gazelles in the field.)

For now we see in a mirror indirectly, but then we will see face to face. Now I know in part, but then I will know fully, just as I have been fully known.

The Holy Spirit is making clear that the way into the Holy Place had not yet appeared as long as the old tabernacle was standing.This was a symbol for the time then present, when gifts and sacrifices were offered that could not perfect the conscience of the worshiper.

Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the sanctuary by the blood of Jesus,by the fresh and living way that he inaugurated for us through the curtain, that is, through his flesh,

So I threw myself down at his feet to worship him, but he said,“ Do not do this! I am only a fellow servant with you and your brothers who hold to the testimony about Jesus. Worship God, for the testimony about Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.”
