可愛的母鹿，秀麗的野山羊；願她的胸時常使你滿足；願她的愛情使你不斷地戀慕。

我的愛人好比瞪羚羊，或是小鹿仔。看哪，他在那裏站着，在我們的牆後呢！他從窗戶往裏注視着呢，從窗櫺往裏窺看着呢。

做妻子的要順服自己的丈夫，如同順服主；因為丈夫是妻子的頭，正如基督是教會的頭。他就是那「身體」的拯救者。但教會怎樣順服基督，妻子也要怎樣凡事順服丈夫。做丈夫的，你們要愛妻子，正如基督愛了教會；為她捨棄了自己。用水的洗、用話語來潔淨她、好奉獻她為聖；好把教會獻給自己、滿有光彩、沒有污點皺紋等類、乃是聖潔沒有瑕疵的。照樣子，做丈夫的也應該愛自己的妻子，如同愛自己的身體。愛自己妻子的、便是愛自己。從來沒有人恨惡自己的肉身的，乃是保養撫育它，正如基督保養撫育教會一樣；因我們乃是他身體上的肢體。『為這緣故、人必離開父親和母親、同妻子膠結，兩個人就成為一體了。』這奧祕極大：我卻是指着基督指着教會而說的。但你們每一個人呢、也應當各愛自己的妻子，正如愛自己一樣；妻子呢、也應當敬重丈夫。

耶穌卻不作聲。大祭司對他說：『我指着永活的上帝誓囑你，告訴我們，你是上帝的兒子、上帝所膏立者不是。』

他的口吻極其香甜；他全然可愛。耶路撒冷的女子啊，這就是我的愛人；這就是我的伴侶。
