收割之前，花已开尽、花正变为成熟的葡萄，他就要用镰刀削掉嫩枝，砍除蔓延的藤条，

我们做为神的同工，也恳求你们：不可白受神的恩典。因为他说：“在悦纳的时候，我垂听了你；在拯救的日子，我帮助了你。”看哪！现在就是悦纳的时候；看哪！现在就是拯救的日子。

大地怎样使幼苗长出，园林怎样使所种下的发芽，照样，主耶和华也必使公义和赞美在万国面前发出。

因此我们是基督的特使，就像神藉着我们在劝告人——我们代替基督请求说：“与神和好吧！”

于是耶稣讲了这个比喻：“一个人有一棵无花果树栽在自己的葡萄园里。当他过来，在那树上找果子时，却找不到，就对园丁说：‘你看，一连三年，我在这无花果树上找果子，都找不到。把它砍了吧！何必让它白占土地？’

说：“巴不得你在这日子里明白关乎你和平的事，但如今这事在你眼前被隐藏了。

雨雪怎样从天而降，不徒然返回原处，却滋润大地，使地上发芽结实，让播种的有种子，吃食的有粮食；照样，从我口中发出的话语也不徒然返回于我，却要成就我的意愿，在我派遣它去做的事上成功。

“你们要从无花果树那里学个比喻：当无花果树的枝子发嫩长出叶子的时候，你们就知道夏天快到了。
