Behold, you are beautiful, my beloved, truly delightful. Our couch is green;

THE SHULAMITE: Behold, you are handsome, my beloved! Yes, pleasant! Also our bed is green.

Behold, thou art fair, my beloved, yea, pleasant: Also our couch is green.

How handsome you are, my love. How delightful! Our bed is lush with foliage;

Behold, thou[ art] fair, my beloved, yea, pleasant: also our bed[ is] green.

Behold, you are beautiful, my beloved, yes, pleasant; and our couch is verdant.

Like an apple tree among the trees of the forest, so is my beloved among the young men. I delight to sit in his shade, and his fruit is sweet to my taste.

Look! It is Solomon’s portable couch! It is surrounded by sixty warriors, some of Israel’s mightiest warriors.

My beloved is dazzling and ruddy; he stands out in comparison to all other men.His head is like the most pure gold. His hair is curly– black like a raven.His eyes are like doves by streams of water, washed in milk, mounted like jewels.His cheeks are like garden beds full of balsam trees yielding perfume. His lips are like lilies dripping with drops of myrrh.His arms are like rods of gold set with chrysolite. His abdomen is like polished ivory inlaid with sapphires.His legs are like pillars of marble set on bases of pure gold. His appearance is like Lebanon, choice as its cedars.His mouth is very sweet; he is totally desirable. This is my beloved! This is my companion, O maidens of Jerusalem!

Then I looked and heard the voice of many angels in a circle around the throne, as well as the living creatures and the elders. Their number was ten thousand times ten thousand– thousands times thousands–all of whom were singing in a loud voice:“ Worthy is the lamb who was killed to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might and honor and glory and praise!”Then I heard every creature– in heaven, on earth, under the earth, in the sea, and all that is in them– singing:“ To the one seated on the throne and to the Lamb be praise, honor, glory, and ruling power forever and ever!”

Your people willingly follow you when you go into battle. On the holy hills at sunrise the dew of your youth belongs to you.

You are the most handsome of all men! You speak in an impressive and fitting manner! For this reason God grants you continual blessings.

More than that, I now regard all things as liabilities compared to the far greater value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things– indeed, I regard them as dung!– that I may gain Christ,and be found in him, not because I have my own righteousness derived from the law, but because I have the righteousness that comes by way of Christ’s faithfulness– a righteousness from God that is in fact based on Christ’s faithfulness.

How precious and fair! Grain will make the young men flourish and new wine the young women.
