其夫與斯地之長老、同坐公庭、公庭原文作城門為眾所識、

耶洗別遂藉亞哈名作書、印以王璽、致拿伯所居邑中之長老與顯者、

又聳動百姓與長老及經士、突來執之、曳至公會、

爾於眾民中選才德兼備、敬畏天主、真實無妄、不貪財利者、立之為千夫長、百夫長、五十夫長、十夫長、以治理斯民、又隨時審鞫民、凡有大事則陳於爾前、小事則彼自鞫之、如是、彼等與爾分任、則爾事簡易矣、

老者不復坐邑門、少者不復歌唱、

當集爾支派之長老、有司、咸來就我、我以斯言告之、使其聽聞、並呼天地向彼作證、

今日爾眾、爾諸族長、支派之牧伯、爾長老有司、及以色列眾男、

主人選定之後、若不悅之、則當容之自贖、既欺之不可鬻於他族、
