Boaz took ten of the elders of the town and said,“ Sit here,” and they did so.

你要从人民中间选出有才能的人，就是敬畏神、忠实可信、恨恶不义之财的人，设立他们作千夫长、百夫长、五十夫长、十夫长，去管理人民，使他们随时可以审判人民的案件；所有大事件，他们要带到你这里来；所有小事件，他们可以自己审判。这样，你就轻省些，他们也可以和你一同分担此事。

众长老不再坐在城门口；青年人不再唱歌作乐。

你们要把你们各支派的众长老和官长都召集到我这里来，我好把这些话说给他们听，并且呼天唤地对他们作证。

“今日你们全都站在耶和华你们的神面前；你们的首领、族长、长老、官长和以色列所有的男子，

如果主人选定她归自己，以后又不喜欢她，就要准她赎身；主人没有权力可以把她卖给外族人，因为主人曾经欺骗了她。
