婚姻當受所有人尊重，床也不可玷汙，因為神將要審判淫亂和通姦的人。

雅各愛拉結，就說：「我願意為你的小女兒拉結服事你七年。」拉班說：「我把她交給你，比交給別人更好；你就與我一起住吧。」

才德的妻子，誰能找得到呢？她的價值遠超過紅寶石。她的丈夫心裡依靠她，不會缺少收益。

房屋和財物來自祖先的繼業，而明達的妻子來自耶和華。

你們還問：「為什麼會這樣呢？」這是因為耶和華在你和你年輕時所娶的妻子之間作證：她雖是你的配偶，是你立約的妻子，你卻背棄了她。

你的後裔也會多如沙粒，你腹中所生的會多如細沙；他們的名號在我面前不會被剪除，也不會被除滅。」

願這些罪一直在耶和華面前，願耶和華把他們的名號從地上剪除；

到那日，我必從這地剪除偶像的名號，它們就不再被人記念；我也必從這地除去假先知，除去汙穢的靈。
