到了傍晚，葡萄园的主人对管事的说：‘把工人叫来，发给他们工钱，从最后来的开始，到最先来的为止。’

亚伯兰说：“主耶和华啊，你要赐给我什么呢？我一直没有孩子，我家业的继承人是大马士革人以利以谢。”

路得就说：“不要催我离开你，也不要催我回去，不让我跟随你；因为你去哪里，我也去哪里；你在哪里过夜，我也在哪里过夜；你的族人就是我的族人；你的神就是我的神；

“究竟谁是那又忠心又聪明的奴仆——受主人委任统管他家里的人、按时给他们分粮的人呢？
