When Ruth heard that, she bowed down with her face to the ground. She asked him,“ Why are you being so kind to me? In fact, why are you even noticing me? I’m from another country.”

Then she fell on her face, bowing to the ground, and said to him,“ Why have I found favor in your eyes, that you should take notice of me, since I am a foreigner?”

Ruth fell at his feet and thanked him warmly.“ What have I done to deserve such kindness?” she asked.“ I am only a foreigner.”

Their burnt offerings and sacrifices will be accepted on my altar; for my house will be called a house of prayer for all nations.”The Sovereign Lord declares— he who gathers the exiles of Israel:“ I will gather still others to them besides those already gathered.”
