Then Naomi said to her two daughters- in- law,“ Go back, each of you, to your mother’s home. May the Lord show you kindness, as you have shown kindness to your dead husbands and to me.

Naomi said to her two daughters- in- law,“ Both of you go back. Each of you go to your own mother’s home. You were kind to your husbands, who have died. You have also been kind to me. So may the Lord be just as kind to you.

But Naomi said to her two daughters-in-law,“ Go, return each of you to her mother’s house. May the Lord deal kindly with you, as you have dealt with the dead and with me.

But on the way, Naomi said to her two daughters in law,“ Go back to your mothers’ homes. And may the Lord reward you for your kindness to your husbands and to me.

And Naomi said unto her two daughters- in- law, Go, return each of you to her mother’s house: Jehovah deal kindly with you, as ye have dealt with the dead, and with me.

She said to them,“ Each of you go back to your mother’s home. May the Lord show faithful love to you as you have shown to the dead and to me.

And Naomi said unto her two daughters in law, Go, return each to her mother’s house: the LORD deal kindly with you, as ye have dealt with the dead, and with me.

Naomi said to her two daughters- in- law,“ Go, return each of you to her mother’s house. May Yahweh deal kindly with you, as you have dealt with the dead and with me.

Then Naomi’s two sons, Mahlon and Kilion, also died. So the woman was left all alone– bereaved of her two children as well as her husband!

Naomi said to her daughter-in-law,“ May he be rewarded by the LORD because he has shown loyalty to the living on behalf of the dead!” Then Naomi said to her,“ This man is a close relative of ours; he is our guardian.”

Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord,

Wives, submit to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord.

“ Honor your father and mother,” which is the first commandment accompanied by a promise, namely,“ that it may go well with you and that you will live a long time on the earth.”

because you know that you will receive your inheritance from the Lord as the reward. Serve the Lord Christ.

He is a jealous God who will not forgive your rebellion or your sins.If you abandon the LORD and worship foreign gods, he will turn against you; he will bring disaster on you and destroy you, though he once treated you well.”The people said to Joshua,“ No! We really will worship the LORD!”Joshua said to the people,“ Do you agree to be witnesses against yourselves that you have chosen to worship the LORD?” They replied,“ We are witnesses!”Joshua said,“ Now put aside the foreign gods that are among you and submit to the LORD God of Israel.”The people said to Joshua,“ We will worship the LORD our God and obey him.”That day Joshua drew up an agreement for the people, and he established rules and regulations for them in Shechem.Joshua wrote these words in the Law Scroll of God. He then took a large stone and set it up there under the oak tree near the LORD’s shrine.Joshua said to all the people,“ Look, this stone will be a witness against you, for it has heard everything the LORD said to us. It will be a witness against you if you deny your God.”When Joshua dismissed the people, they went to their allotted portions of land.

Now large crowds were accompanying Jesus, and turning to them he said,“ If anyone comes to me and does not hate his own father and mother, and wife and children, and brothers and sisters, and even his own life, he cannot be my disciple.Whoever does not carry his own cross and follow me cannot be my disciple.For which of you, wanting to build a tower, doesn’t sit down first and compute the cost to see if he has enough money to complete it?Otherwise, when he has laid a foundation and is not able to finish the tower, all who see it will begin to make fun of him.They will say,‘ This man began to build and was not able to finish!’Or what king, going out to confront another king in battle, will not sit down first and determine whether he is able with ten thousand to oppose the one coming against him with twenty thousand?If he cannot succeed, he will send a representative while the other is still a long way off and ask for terms of peace.In the same way therefore not one of you can be my disciple if he does not renounce all his own possessions.

For I have received everything, and I have plenty. I have all I need because I received from Epaphroditus what you sent– a fragrant offering, an acceptable sacrifice, very pleasing to God.And my God will supply your every need according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.
