And Ruth said, Entreat me not to leave thee, and to return from following after thee, for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge; thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God;

But Ruth replied: Do not persuade me to leave you or go back and not follow you. For wherever you go, I will go, and wherever you live, I will live; your people will be my people, and your God will be my God.

And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee,[ or] to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people[ shall be] my people, and thy God my God:

Be quiet.”Elijah said to him,“ Stay here, for the LORD has sent me to the Jordan.” But he replied,“ As certainly as the LORD lives and as you live, I will not leave you.” So they traveled on together.

Listen, O princess! Observe and pay attention! Forget your homeland and your family!
