我的朋友啊！求你們憐憫我，憐憫我吧！因為神的手擊打了我。

因為你的手晝夜重壓在我身上，我的精力耗盡，好像盛暑的乾旱。（細拉）

他們無論去哪裡，耶和華的手總是加害他們，好像耶和華說過的，又像耶和華對他們起誓過的；他們就非常困苦。

因為你的箭射入我身，你的手壓住我。

因為是你作了這事，我就靜默不開口。求你除掉你降在我身上的災禍；因你手的責打，我就消滅。

耶和華的手攻擊了他們，把他們從營中除滅，直到滅盡為止。

於是他們派人去召集非利士人各城的首領前來，對他們說：“請把以色列神的約櫃送回原處，免得它殺害我們和我們的人民。”死亡的恐慌籠罩全城，因為神的手重重地壓在那裡。
