他们每次出战，耶和华都与他们为敌，使他们战败，正如祂的誓言。他们苦不堪言。

因为你的箭射穿我，你的手击打我。

我默然不语，一言不发，因为我受的责罚是出于你。求你不要再惩罚我，你的责打使我几乎丧命。

其实是耶和华的手攻击他们，直到把他们从营中全部消灭。

他们派人召集非利士的首领，说：“把以色列上帝的约柜送回原处吧，免得它杀害我们和我们的人民。”因为上帝重重地惩罚他们，全城都笼罩在死亡的恐惧中。
