然則天主果食其言矣乎？無是理也！蓋出自義塞者、非必盡為義塞人；

It is not as though God’s word had failed. For not all who are descended from Israel are Israel.

I do not mean that God’s word has failed. Not everyone in the family line of Israel really belongs to Israel.

But it is not as though the word of God has failed. For not all who are descended from Israel belong to Israel,

Well then, has God failed to fulfill his promise to Israel? No, for not all who are born into the nation of Israel are truly members of God’s people!

Now it is not as though the word of God has failed, because not all who are descended from Israel are Israel.

But it is not as though the word of God has failed. For they are not all Israel who are descended from Israel;

But it is not that the word of God has taken no effect. For they are not all Israel who are of Israel,

But it is not as though the word of God hath come to nought. For they are not all Israel, that are of Israel:

But it is not as though the word of God has failed. For not all who are descended from Israel are Israel.

Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they[ are] not all Israel, which are of Israel:

But it is not as though the word of God has come to nothing. For they are not all Israel that are of Israel.

And all who will behave in accordance with this rule, peace and mercy be on them, and on the Israel of God.

For a person is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is circumcision something that is outward in the flesh,but someone is a Jew who is one inwardly, and circumcision is of the heart by the Spirit and not by the written code. This person’s praise is not from people but from God.

What then? If some did not believe, does their unbelief nullify the faithfulness of God?

Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward him and exclaimed,“ Look, a true Israelite in whom there is no deceit!”

God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a human being, that he should change his mind. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not make it happen?

And he is also the father of the circumcised, who are not only circumcised, but who also walk in the footsteps of the faith that our father Abraham possessed when he was still uncircumcised.For the promise to Abraham or to his descendants that he would inherit the world was not fulfilled through the law, but through the righteousness that comes by faith.For if they become heirs by the law, faith is empty and the promise is nullified.For the law brings wrath, because where there is no law there is no transgression either.For this reason it is by faith so that it may be by grace, with the result that the promise may be certain to all the descendants– not only to those who are under the law, but also to those who have the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all

So I ask, God has not rejected his people, has he? Absolutely not! For I too am an Israelite, a descendant of Abraham, from the tribe of Benjamin.God has not rejected his people whom he foreknew! Do you not know what the scripture says about Elijah, how he pleads with God against Israel?

If those people to whom the word of God came were called‘ gods’( and the scripture cannot be broken),

In the same way, the promise that I make does not return to me, having accomplished nothing. No, it is realized as I desire and is fulfilled as I intend.”

If we are unfaithful, he remains faithful, since he cannot deny himself.

Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

In the same way God wanted to demonstrate more clearly to the heirs of the promise that his purpose was unchangeable, and so he intervened with an oath,so that we who have found refuge in him may find strong encouragement to hold fast to the hope set before us through two unchangeable things, since it is impossible for God to lie.
