But it is not as though the word of God has come to nothing. For they are not all Israel that are of Israel.

so that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud; for Yahweh’s glory filled Yahweh’s house.

Now indeed even the first covenant had ordinances of divine service and an earthly sanctuary.

For you are a holy people to Yahweh your God. Yahweh your God has chosen you to be a people for his own possession, above all peoples who are on the face of the earth.

You are the children of Yahweh your God. You shall not cut yourselves, nor make any baldness between your eyes for the dead.

For the promise is to you, and to your children, and to all who are far off, even as many as the Lord our God will call to himself.”

He took the book of the covenant and read it in the hearing of the people, and they said,“ We will do all that Yahweh has said, and be obedient.”Moses took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said,“ Look, this is the blood of the covenant, which Yahweh has made with you concerning all these words.”

For you didn’t receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry,“ Abba! Father!”

Is Ephraim my dear son? Is he a darling child? For as often as I speak against him, I still earnestly remember him. therefore my heart yearns for him. I will surely have mercy on him,” says Yahweh.

Moses went up to God, and Yahweh called to him out of the mountain, saying,“ This is what you shall tell the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel:‘ You have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles’ wings, and brought you to myself.Now therefore, if you will indeed obey my voice, and keep my covenant, then you shall be my own possession from among all peoples; for all the earth is mine;and you shall be to me a kingdom of priests, and a holy nation.’ These are the words which you shall speak to the children of Israel.”

This is my covenant, which you shall keep, between me and you and your offspring after you. Every male among you shall be circumcised.

“ Listen to me, house of Jacob, and all the remnant of the house of Israel, that have been carried from their birth, that have been carried from the womb.

Much in every way! Because first of all, they were entrusted with the revelations of God.

Yahweh said to Moses,“ Behold, you shall sleep with your fathers. This people will rise up and play the prostitute after the strange gods of the land where they go to be among them, and will forsake me and break my covenant which I have made with them.

But now he has obtained a more excellent ministry, by so much as he is also the mediator of a better covenant, which on better promises has been given as law.For if that first covenant had been faultless, then no place would have been sought for a second.For finding fault with them, he said,“ Behold, the days come”, says the Lord,“ that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah;not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers, in the day that I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; for they didn’t continue in my covenant, and I disregarded them,” says the Lord.“ For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel. After those days,” says the Lord;“ I will put my laws into their mind, I will also write them on their heart. I will be their God, and they will be my people.

“ Hear another parable. There was a man who was a master of a household, who planted a vineyard, set a hedge about it, dug a wine press in it, built a tower, leased it out to farmers, and went into another country.

In that day Yahweh made a covenant with Abram, saying,“ I have given this land to your offspring, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the river Euphrates:

After the second veil was the tabernacle which is called the Holy of Holies,

and delivered his strength into captivity, his glory into the adversary’s hand.

When Moses went into the Tent of Meeting to speak with Yahweh, he heard his voice speaking to him from above the mercy seat that was on the ark of the Testimony, from between the two cherubim; and he spoke to him.

and has raised up a horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David( as he spoke by the mouth of his holy prophets who have been from of old),salvation from our enemies, and from the hand of all who hate us;to show mercy toward our fathers, to remember his holy covenant,the oath which he swore to Abraham, our father,to grant to us that we, being delivered out of the hand of our enemies, should serve him without fear,in holiness and righteousness before him all the days of our life.

Surely God is good to Israel, to those who are pure in heart.

I will not break my covenant, nor alter what my lips have uttered.

“ But you, Israel, my servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, the offspring of Abraham my friend,

Let your work appear to your servants, your glory to their children.

I gave them my statutes, and showed them my ordinances, which if a man does, he will live in them.Moreover also I gave them my Sabbaths, to be a sign between me and them, that they might know that I am Yahweh who sanctifies them.

You are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying to Abraham,‘ All the families of the earth will be blessed through your offspring.’God, having raised up his servant Jesus, sent him to you first to bless you, in turning away every one of you from your wickedness.”

He has given help to Israel, his servant, that he might remember mercy,as he spoke to our fathers, to Abraham and his offspring forever.”

Yahweh said to Moses,“ Write these words; for in accordance with these words I have made a covenant with you and with Israel.”

I will establish my covenant between me and you and your offspring after you throughout their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God to you and to your offspring after you.

Remember them, my God, because they have defiled the priesthood, and the covenant of the priesthood and of the Levites.

“ When Israel was a child, then I loved him, and called my son out of Egypt.

It shall happen when you have come to the land which Yahweh will give you, as he has promised, that you shall keep this service.

For the law was given through Moses. Grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ.

We bring you good news of the promise made to the fathers,that God has fulfilled this to us, their children, in that he raised up Jesus. As it is also written in the second psalm,‘ You are my Son. Today I have become your father.’

“ I have made a covenant with my chosen one, I have sworn to David, my servant,

“ You also came down on Mount Sinai, and spoke with them from heaven, and gave them right ordinances and true laws, good statutes and commandments,and made known to them your holy Sabbath, and commanded them commandments, statutes, and a law, by Moses your servant,

Then the cloud covered the Tent of Meeting, and Yahweh’s glory filled the tabernacle.

The sun will be no more your light by day; nor will the brightness of the moon give light to you, but Yahweh will be your everlasting light, and your God will be your glory.

So I have seen you in the sanctuary, watching your power and your glory.

Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and said about him,“ Behold, an Israelite indeed, in whom is no deceit!”

“ But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days,” says Yahweh:“ I will put my law in their inward parts, and I will write it in their heart. I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

He said,“ Your name will no longer be called Jacob, but Israel; for you have fought with God and with men, and have prevailed.”

being only( with meats and drinks and various washings) fleshly ordinances, imposed until a time of reformation.

He dug it up, gathered out its stones, planted it with the choicest vine, built a tower in the middle of it, and also cut out a wine press in it. He looked for it to yield grapes, but it yielded wild grapes.

Neither do I make this covenant and this oath with you only,

She named the child Ichabod, saying,“ The glory has departed from Israel!” because God’s ark was taken, and because of her father- in- law and her husband.She said,“ The glory has departed from Israel; for God’s ark has been taken.”

They will come with weeping. I will lead them with petitions. I will cause them to walk by rivers of waters, in a straight way in which they won’t stumble; for I am a father to Israel. Ephraim is my firstborn.

“ Yahweh says:‘ If you can break my covenant of the day and my covenant of the night, so that there will not be day and night in their time;then may my covenant also be broken with David my servant, that he won’t have a son to reign on his throne; and with the Levites the priests, my ministers.As the army of the sky can’t be counted, and the sand of the sea can’t be measured; so I will multiply the offspring of David my servant and the Levites who minister to me.’”Yahweh’s word came to Jeremiah, saying,“ Don’t consider what this people has spoken, saying,‘ Has Yahweh cast off the two families which he chose?’ Thus they despise my people, that they should be no more a nation before them.”Yahweh says:“ If my covenant of day and night fails, if I have not appointed the ordinances of heaven and earth;

For when God made a promise to Abraham, since he could swear by no one greater, he swore by himself,saying,“ Surely blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply you.”Thus, having patiently endured, he obtained the promise.For men indeed swear by a greater one, and in every dispute of theirs the oath is final for confirmation.In this way God, being determined to show more abundantly to the heirs of the promise the immutability of his counsel, interposed with an oath,

These are the words of the covenant which Yahweh commanded Moses to make with the children of Israel in the land of Moab, in addition to the covenant which he made with them in Horeb.
