What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, who didn’t follow after righteousness, attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith;

這樣，我們可說甚麼呢？那本來不追求義的外邦人反得了義，就是因信而得的義。

那麼，我們要怎麼說呢？那原來沒有追求義的外邦人，卻得到了義，就是因信而得的義；

然則將何言耶、異邦人未趨義而得義、即由信之義也、

是何以言之、異邦人不求稱義、而得稱義者、乃以信主而稱義、

是則何言、異邦人不尋義而得義、即由信之義、

於此吾人尚有何說？異邦之人、未曾求義、竟因信而得義矣。

What then shall we say? That the Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, have obtained it, a righteousness that is by faith;

What should we say then? Gentiles did not look for a way to be right with God. But they found it by having faith.

What shall we say, then? That Gentiles who did not pursue righteousness have attained it, that is, a righteousness that is by faith;

What does all this mean? Even though the Gentiles were not trying to follow God’s standards, they were made right with God. And it was by faith that this took place.

What should we say then? Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, have obtained righteousness— namely the righteousness that comes from faith.

What shall we say then? That Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, attained righteousness, but the righteousness that is by faith;

What shall we say then? That Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness of faith;

What shall we say then?– that the Gentiles who did not pursue righteousness obtained it, that is, a righteousness that is by faith,

and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own, that which is of the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith,

By faith, Noah, being warned about things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared a ship for the saving of his house, through which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.

He received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had while he was in uncircumcision, that he might be the father of all those who believe, though they might be in uncircumcision, that righteousness might also be accounted to them.

What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? May it never be!

yet knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, even we believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ, and not by the works of the law, because no flesh will be justified by the works of the law.

Isaiah is very bold and says,“ I was found by those who didn’t seek me. I was revealed to those who didn’t ask for me.”

But the righteousness which is of faith says this,“ Don’t say in your heart,‘ Who will ascend into heaven?’( that is, to bring Christ down);

The Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the Good News beforehand to Abraham, saying,“ In you all the nations will be blessed.”

For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation.

Or don’t you know that the unrighteous will not inherit God’s Kingdom? Don’t be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals,nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortionists, will inherit God’s Kingdom.Some of you were such, but you were washed. But you were sanctified. But you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God.

So that the law has become our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

For we have spent enough of our past time doing the desire of the Gentiles, and having walked in lewdness, lusts, drunken binges, orgies, carousings, and abominable idolatries.

Therefore it also was“ credited to him for righteousness.”

Is this blessing then pronounced on the circumcised, or on the uncircumcised also? For we say that faith was accounted to Abraham for righteousness.

For we, through the Spirit, by faith wait for the hope of righteousness.

For the promise to Abraham and to his offspring that he should be heir of the world wasn’t through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.

“ I am inquired of by those who didn’t ask. I am found by those who didn’t seek me. I said,‘ See me, see me,’ to a nation that was not called by my name.I have spread out my hands all day to a rebellious people, who walk in a way that is not good, after their own thoughts;

For in it is revealed God’s righteousness from faith to faith. As it is written,“ But the righteous shall live by faith.”For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,because that which is known of God is revealed in them, for God revealed it to them.For the invisible things of him since the creation of the world are clearly seen, being perceived through the things that are made, even his everlasting power and divinity, that they may be without excuse.Because knowing God, they didn’t glorify him as God, and didn’t give thanks, but became vain in their reasoning, and their senseless heart was darkened.Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,and traded the glory of the incorruptible God for the likeness of an image of corruptible man, and of birds, four- footed animals, and creeping things.Therefore God also gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to uncleanness, that their bodies should be dishonored among themselves;who exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.For this reason, God gave them up to vile passions. For their women changed the natural function into that which is against nature.Likewise also the men, leaving the natural function of the woman, burned in their lust toward one another, men doing what is inappropriate with men, and receiving in themselves the due penalty of their error.Even as they refused to have God in their knowledge, God gave them up to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not fitting;being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, malice; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil habits, secret slanderers,backbiters, hateful to God, insolent, arrogant, boastful, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, unforgiving, unmerciful;who, knowing the ordinance of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but also approve of those who practice them.

The way of the wicked is an abomination to Yahweh, but he loves him who follows after righteousness.

He who follows after righteousness and kindness finds life, righteousness, and honor.

This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles also walk, in the futility of their mind,being darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardening of their hearts.They, having become callous, gave themselves up to lust, to work all uncleanness with greediness.

But if our unrighteousness commends the righteousness of God, what will we say? Is God unrighteous who inflicts wrath? I speak like men do.

Being therefore justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ;

that you were at that time separate from Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of the promise, having no hope and without God in the world.

But you, man of God, flee these things, and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, perseverance, and gentleness.

but Israel, following after a law of righteousness, didn’t arrive at the law of righteousness.

“ Listen to me, you who follow after righteousness, you who seek Yahweh. Look to the rock you were cut from, and to the quarry you were dug from.

But now apart from the law, a righteousness of God has been revealed, being testified by the law and the prophets;even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ to all and on all those who believe. For there is no distinction,
