What should we say then? Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, have obtained righteousness— namely the righteousness that comes from faith.

既是这样，我们还有什么可说的呢？那不追求义的外族人却得了义，就是因信而得的义。

那么，我们要怎么说呢？那原来没有追求义的外邦人，却得到了义，就是因信而得的义；

這樣，我們可說甚麼呢？那本來不追求義的外邦人反得了義，就是因信而得的義。

這樣，我們要怎麼說呢？那不追求義的外邦人卻獲得了義，就是因信而獲得的義。

這樣，我們要怎麼說呢？那不追求義的外邦人卻獲得了義，就是因信而獲得的義。

這樣看來，我們該說什麼呢？本來不追求義的外族人卻因信而得到了義。

既是這樣，我們還有甚麼可說的呢？那不追求義的外族人卻得了義，就是因信而得的義。

這樣，我們可怎麼說呢？那不追求義的外國人倒追着了義、那本着信的義；

那麼，我們要怎麼說呢？那原來沒有追求義的外邦人，卻得到了義，就是因信而得的義；

然則將何言耶、異邦人未趨義而得義、即由信之義也、

是何以言之、異邦人不求稱義、而得稱義者、乃以信主而稱義、

是則何言、異邦人不尋義而得義、即由信之義、

於此吾人尚有何說？異邦之人、未曾求義、竟因信而得義矣。

What then shall we say? That the Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, have obtained it, a righteousness that is by faith;

What should we say then? Gentiles did not look for a way to be right with God. But they found it by having faith.

What shall we say, then? That Gentiles who did not pursue righteousness have attained it, that is, a righteousness that is by faith;

What does all this mean? Even though the Gentiles were not trying to follow God’s standards, they were made right with God. And it was by faith that this took place.

What shall we say then? That Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, attained righteousness, but the righteousness that is by faith;

What shall we say then? That Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness of faith;

What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, who followed not after righteousness, attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith:

What should we say then? Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, have obtained righteousness— namely the righteousness that comes from faith.

What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, which followed not after righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith.

What shall we say then?– that the Gentiles who did not pursue righteousness obtained it, that is, a righteousness that is by faith,

What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, who didn’t follow after righteousness, attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith;

and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own from the law, but one that is through faith in Christ— the righteousness from God based on faith.

By faith Noah, after he was warned about what was not yet seen and motivated by godly fear, built an ark to deliver his family. By faith he condemned the world and became an heir of the righteousness that comes by faith.

And he received the sign of circumcision as a seal of the righteousness that he had by faith while still uncircumcised. This was to make him the father of all who believe but are not circumcised, so that righteousness may be credited to them also.

What should we say then? Is there injustice with God? Absolutely not!

and yet because we know that a person is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we ourselves have believed in Christ Jesus. This was so that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no human being will be justified.

And Isaiah says boldly, I was found by those who were not looking for me; I revealed myself to those who were not asking for me.

But the righteousness that comes from faith speaks like this: Do not say in your heart,“ Who will go up to heaven?” that is, to bring Christ down

Now the Scripture saw in advance that God would justify the Gentiles by faith and proclaimed the gospel ahead of time to Abraham, saying, All the nations will be blessed through you.

One believes with the heart, resulting in righteousness, and one confesses with the mouth, resulting in salvation.

Don’t you know that the unrighteous will not inherit God’s kingdom? Do not be deceived: No sexually immoral people, idolaters, adulterers, or males who have sex with males,no thieves, greedy people, drunkards, verbally abusive people, or swindlers will inherit God’s kingdom.And some of you used to be like this. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

The law, then, was our guardian until Christ, so that we could be justified by faith.

For there has already been enough time spent in doing what the Gentiles choose to do: carrying on in unrestrained behavior, evil desires, drunkenness, orgies, carousing, and lawless idolatry.

Therefore, it was credited to him for righteousness.

Is this blessing only for the circumcised, then? Or is it also for the uncircumcised? For we say, Faith was credited to Abraham for righteousness.

For we eagerly await through the Spirit, by faith, the hope of righteousness.

For the promise to Abraham or to his descendants that he would inherit the world was not through the law, but through the righteousness that comes by faith.

“ I was sought by those who did not ask; I was found by those who did not seek me. I said,‘ Here I am, here I am,’ to a nation that did not call on my name.I spread out my hands all day long to a rebellious people who walk in the path that is not good, following their own thoughts.

For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith, just as it is written: The righteous will live by faith.For God’s wrath is revealed from heaven against all godlessness and unrighteousness of people who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth,since what can be known about God is evident among them, because God has shown it to them.For his invisible attributes, that is, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen since the creation of the world, being understood through what he has made. As a result, people are without excuse.For though they knew God, they did not glorify him as God or show gratitude. Instead, their thinking became worthless, and their senseless hearts were darkened.Claiming to be wise, they became foolsand exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man, birds, four-footed animals, and reptiles.Therefore God delivered them over in the desires of their hearts to sexual impurity, so that their bodies were degraded among themselves.They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served what has been created instead of the Creator, who is praised forever. Amen.For this reason God delivered them over to disgraceful passions. Their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones.The men in the same way also left natural relations with women and were inflamed in their lust for one another. Men committed shameless acts with men and received in their own persons the appropriate penalty of their error.And because they did not think it worthwhile to acknowledge God, God delivered them over to a corrupt mind so that they do what is not right.They are filled with all unrighteousness, evil, greed, and wickedness. They are full of envy, murder, quarrels, deceit, and malice. They are gossips,slanderers, God-haters, arrogant, proud, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents,senseless, untrustworthy, unloving, and unmerciful.Although they know God’s just sentence— that those who practice such things deserve to die— they not only do them, but even applaud others who practice them.

The LORD detests the way of the wicked, but he loves the one who pursues righteousness.

The one who pursues righteousness and faithful love will find life, righteousness, and honor.

Therefore, I say this and testify in the Lord: You should no longer walk as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their thoughts.They are darkened in their understanding, excluded from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them and because of the hardness of their hearts.They became callous and gave themselves over to promiscuity for the practice of every kind of impurity with a desire for more and more.

But if our unrighteousness highlights God’s righteousness, what are we to say? I am using a human argument: Is God unrighteous to inflict wrath?

Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

At that time you were without Christ, excluded from the citizenship of Israel, and foreigners to the covenants of promise, without hope and without God in the world.

But you, man of God, flee from these things, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance, and gentleness.

But Israel, pursuing the law of righteousness, has not achieved the righteousness of the law.

Listen to me, you who pursue righteousness, you who seek the LORD: Look to the rock from which you were cut, and to the quarry from which you were dug.

But now, apart from the law, the righteousness of God has been revealed, attested by the Law and the Prophets.The righteousness of God is through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe, since there is no distinction.
