What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, who followed not after righteousness, attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith:

这样看来，我们该说什么呢？本来不追求义的外族人却因信而得到了义。

既是这样，我们还有什么可说的呢？那不追求义的外族人却得了义，就是因信而得的义。

那么，我们要怎么说呢？那原来没有追求义的外邦人，却得到了义，就是因信而得的义；

這樣，我們可說甚麼呢？那本來不追求義的外邦人反得了義，就是因信而得的義。

這樣，我們要怎麼說呢？那不追求義的外邦人卻獲得了義，就是因信而獲得的義。

這樣，我們要怎麼說呢？那不追求義的外邦人卻獲得了義，就是因信而獲得的義。

這樣看來，我們該說什麼呢？本來不追求義的外族人卻因信而得到了義。

既是這樣，我們還有甚麼可說的呢？那不追求義的外族人卻得了義，就是因信而得的義。

這樣，我們可怎麼說呢？那不追求義的外國人倒追着了義、那本着信的義；

那麼，我們要怎麼說呢？那原來沒有追求義的外邦人，卻得到了義，就是因信而得的義；

然則將何言耶、異邦人未趨義而得義、即由信之義也、

是何以言之、異邦人不求稱義、而得稱義者、乃以信主而稱義、

是則何言、異邦人不尋義而得義、即由信之義、

於此吾人尚有何說？異邦之人、未曾求義、竟因信而得義矣。

What then shall we say? That the Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, have obtained it, a righteousness that is by faith;

What should we say then? Gentiles did not look for a way to be right with God. But they found it by having faith.

What shall we say, then? That Gentiles who did not pursue righteousness have attained it, that is, a righteousness that is by faith;

What does all this mean? Even though the Gentiles were not trying to follow God’s standards, they were made right with God. And it was by faith that this took place.

What should we say then? Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, have obtained righteousness— namely the righteousness that comes from faith.

What shall we say then? That Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, attained righteousness, but the righteousness that is by faith;

What shall we say then? That Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness of faith;

What should we say then? Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, have obtained righteousness— namely the righteousness that comes from faith.

What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, which followed not after righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith.

What shall we say then?– that the Gentiles who did not pursue righteousness obtained it, that is, a righteousness that is by faith,

What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, who didn’t follow after righteousness, attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith;

and be found in him, not having a righteousness of mine own, even that which is of the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith:

By faith Noah, being warned of God concerning things not seen as yet, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; through which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.

and he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had while he was in uncircumcision: that he might be the father of all them that believe, though they be in uncircumcision, that righteousness might be reckoned unto them;

What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? God forbid.

yet knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, even we believed on Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ, and not by the works of the law: because by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

And Isaiah is very bold, and saith, I was found of them that sought me not; I became manifest unto them that asked not of me.

But the righteousness which is of faith saith thus, Say not in thy heart, Who shall ascend into heaven?( that is, to bring Christ down:)

And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel beforehand unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all the nations be blessed.

for with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Or know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with men,nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.And such were some of you: but ye were washed, but ye were sanctified, but ye were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and in the Spirit of our God.

So that the law is become our tutor to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

For the time past may suffice to have wrought the desire of the Gentiles, and to have walked in lasciviousness, lusts, winebibbings, revellings, carousings, and abominable idolatries:

Wherefore also it was reckoned unto him for righteousness.

Is this blessing then pronounced upon the circumcision, or upon the uncircumcision also? for we say, To Abraham his faith was reckoned for righteousness.

For we through the Spirit by faith wait for the hope of righteousness.

For not through the law was the promise to Abraham or to his seed that he should be heir of the world, but through the righteousness of faith.

I am inquired of by them that asked not for me; I am found of them that sought me not: I said, Behold me, behold me, unto a nation that was not called by my name.I have spread out my hands all the day unto a rebellious people, that walk in a way that is not good, after their own thoughts;

For therein is revealed a righteousness of God from faith unto faith: as it is written, But the righteous shall live by faith.For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hinder the truth in unrighteousness;because that which is known of God is manifest in them; for God manifested it unto them.For the invisible things of him since the creation of the world are clearly seen, being perceived through the things that are made, even his everlasting power and divinity; that they may be without excuse:because that, knowing God, they glorified him not as God, neither gave thanks; but became vain in their reasonings, and their senseless heart was darkened.Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,and changed the glory of the incorruptible God for the likeness of an image of corruptible man, and of birds, and four- footed beasts, and creeping things.Wherefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts unto uncleanness, that their bodies should be dishonored among themselves:for that they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshipped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.For this cause God gave them up unto vile passions: for their women changed the natural use into that which is against nature:and likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another, men with men working unseemliness, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was due.And even as they refused to have God in their knowledge, God gave them up unto a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not fitting;being filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malignity; whisperers,backbiters, hateful to God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,without understanding, covenant- breakers, without natural affection, unmerciful:who, knowing the ordinance of God, that they that practise such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but also consent with them that practise them.

The way of the wicked is an abomination to Jehovah; But he loveth him that followeth after righteousness.

He that followeth after righteousness and kindness Findeth life, righteousness, and honor.

This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye no longer walk as the Gentiles also walk, in the vanity of their mind,being darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardening of their heart;who being past feeling gave themselves up to lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.

But if our unrighteousness commendeth the righteousness of God, what shall we say? Is God unrighteous who visiteth with wrath?( I speak after the manner of men.)

Being therefore justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ;

that ye were at that time separate from Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of the promise, having no hope and without God in the world.

But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.

but Israel, following after a law of righteousness, did not arrive at that law.

Hearken to me, ye that follow after righteousness, ye that seek Jehovah: look unto the rock whence ye were hewn, and to the hole of the pit whence ye were digged.

But now apart from the law a righteousness of God hath been manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ unto all them that believe; for there is no distinction;
