for my people, my Jewish brothers and sisters. I would be willing to be forever cursed— cut off from Christ!— if that would save them.

For I could wish that I myself were cursed and cut off from Christ for the sake of my people, those of my own race,

I am so concerned about my people, who are members of my own race. I am ready to be cursed, if that would help them. I am even willing to be separated from Christ.

For I could wish that I myself were accursed and cut off from Christ for the sake of my brothers, my kinsmen according to the flesh.

For I could wish that I myself were cursed and cut off from Christ for the benefit of my brothers and sisters, my own flesh and blood.

For I could almost wish to be cursed and cut off from the Messiah for the benefit of my brothers, my own flesh and blood.

For I could wish that I myself were accursed– cut off from Christ– for the sake of my people, my fellow countrymen,

For I could wish that I myself were accursed from Christ for my brothers’ sake, my relatives according to the flesh

But now, if you will only forgive their sin— but if not, erase my name from the record you have written!”

Let God’s curse fall on anyone, including us or even an angel from heaven, who preaches a different kind of Good News than the one we preached to you.

the body must not remain hanging from the tree overnight. You must bury the body that same day, for anyone who is hung is cursed in the sight of God. In this way, you will prevent the defilement of the land the Lord your God is giving you as your special possession.

So I want you to know that no one speaking by the Spirit of God will curse Jesus, and no one can say Jesus is Lord, except by the Holy Spirit.

If anyone does not love the Lord, that person is cursed. Our Lord, come!

for I want somehow to make the people of Israel jealous of what you Gentiles have, so I might save some of them.

I ask, then, has God rejected his own people, the nation of Israel? Of course not! I myself am an Israelite, a descendant of Abraham and a member of the tribe of Benjamin.

“ Yes, Jonathan,” Saul said,“ you must die! May God strike me and even kill me if you do not die for this.”

He tried to be a peacemaker.‘ Men,’ he said,‘ you are brothers. Why are you fighting each other?’

Laban exclaimed,“ You really are my own flesh and blood!” After Jacob had stayed with Laban for about a month,

For how can I endure to see my people and my family slaughtered and destroyed?”

Jericho and everything in it must be completely destroyed as an offering to the Lord. Only Rahab the prostitute and the others in her house will be spared, for she protected our spies.“ Do not take any of the things set apart for destruction, or you yourselves will be completely destroyed, and you will bring trouble on the camp of Israel.
