意灑雅亦曾大聲疾呼、而告國人曰：『即使義塞子孫多於海沙、蒙救者亦不過餘數而已。

Isaiah cries out concerning Israel:“ Though the number of the Israelites be like the sand by the sea, only the remnant will be saved.

And concerning Israel, Isaiah the prophet cried out,“ Though the people of Israel are as numerous as the sand of the seashore, only a remnant will be saved.

And Isaiah cries out on behalf of Israel,“ Though the number of the children of Israel are as the sand of the sea, only the remnant will be saved,

Isaiah cries concerning Israel,“ If the number of the children of Israel are as the sand of the sea, it is the remnant who will be saved;

到那日，以色列的餘民和雅各家逃脫的人，必不再倚靠那擊打他們的，卻要誠實地倚靠耶和華以色列的聖者。那些餘民，就是雅各家的餘民，必回轉歸向大能的神。以色列啊！你的人民雖然像海沙那樣多，卻只有餘剩的人可以歸回，因為滅絕的事已經定了，公義必如洪水氾濫。主萬軍之耶和華必在全地之中，作成已定的毀滅之事。

但神怎樣回答他呢？“我為自己留下了七千人，是沒有向巴力屈膝的。”因此，現在也是這樣，按著恩典的揀選，還有剩下的餘數。既然是靠著恩典，就不再是由於行為了；不然的話，恩典就不再是恩典了。

“然而，以色列人的數目，必多如海邊的沙，量不盡，數不完。從前在甚麼地方對他們說：‘你們不是我的子民’，將來要在那裡對他們說：‘你們是永活的神的兒子。’

“你們要走進她的葡萄園（“葡萄園”原文作“葡萄樹的行列”）裡施行毀壞，但不可毀滅淨盡，要除掉她的枝子，因為它們不屬耶和華。

我必定賜福給你，必使你的後裔繁多，像天上的星，海邊的沙；你的後裔必佔領仇敵的城門。

若不是萬軍之耶和華給我們留下一些生還者，我們早已像所多瑪、蛾摩拉一樣了。

“‘但我要保留一些餘剩的人，你們分散在各地的時候，你們必有人在列國中從刀劍下逃出來。

到那日，主必再用自己的手，贖回他子民中的餘民，就是從亞述、埃及、巴忒羅、古實、以攔、示拿和哈馬，以及眾海島所剩下的。

在烏西雅、約坦、亞哈斯和希西家作猶大王的時候，亞摩斯的兒子以賽亞看見異象，是關於猶大和耶路撒冷的：

在地上的萬民，都像搖過的橄欖樹，又像被摘取完了的葡萄樹，剩下無幾。

我們怎可以再違背你的誡命，與這些行可憎事的民族通婚呢？如果我們這樣行，你豈不向我們發怒，消滅我們，以致沒有一個剩餘，或是逃脫的人嗎？

現在，耶和華我們的神恩待我們片時，給我們存留一些逃脫的人，使我們像釘子釘在他的聖所那樣的安穩，讓我們的神光照我們的眼睛，使我們在所受的奴役中稍得復興。

因此，耶和華必把以色列人交給敵人，直到那要生產的婦人生下孩子來；那時，他其餘的兄弟，就必歸回以色列人那裡。他必站立起來，靠著耶和華的能力，靠著耶和華他神之名的威嚴，牧養他的羊群；他們必然安居，因為那時他必尊大，直到地極。這就是那帶來太平的。亞述人入侵我們的國土，踐踏我們宮殿的時候，我們就要興起七個牧者；八個作領袖的人攻擊他。他們必用刀劍治理亞述地，必用劍鋒治理寧錄地；亞述人入侵我們的國土，踐踏我們境界的時候，他必拯救我們脫離亞述人的手。那時，雅各的餘民，必在許多民族中，像從耶和華那裡降下的露水，又像甘霖降在草上，不期望於人，也不等候世人。那時雅各的餘民，必在萬國中，在許多民族裡，像樹林裡百獸中的獅子，又像幼獅在羊群中；他若經過，就必踐踏、撕碎，沒有人可以拯救。
