意灑雅亦曾大聲疾呼、而告國人曰：『即使義塞子孫多於海沙、蒙救者亦不過餘數而已。

Isaiah cries out concerning Israel:“ Though the number of the Israelites be like the sand by the sea, only the remnant will be saved.

And Isaiah cries out concerning Israel:“ Though the number of the sons of Israel be as the sand of the sea, only a remnant of them will be saved,

And concerning Israel, Isaiah the prophet cried out,“ Though the people of Israel are as numerous as the sand of the seashore, only a remnant will be saved.

And Isaiah cries out on behalf of Israel,“ Though the number of the children of Israel are as the sand of the sea, only the remnant will be saved,

Isaiah cries concerning Israel,“ If the number of the children of Israel are as the sand of the sea, it is the remnant who will be saved;

到那日，以色列的余民和雅各家逃脱的人，必不再倚靠那击打他们的，却要诚实地倚靠耶和华以色列的圣者。那些余民，就是雅各家的余民，必回转归向大能的神。以色列啊！你的人民虽然像海沙那样多，却只有余剩的人可以归回，因为灭绝的事已经定了，公义必如洪水泛滥。主万军之耶和华必在全地之中，作成已定的毁灭之事。

但神怎样回答他呢？“我为自己留下了七千人，是没有向巴力屈膝的。”因此，现在也是这样，按着恩典的拣选，还有剩下的余数。既然是靠着恩典，就不再是由于行为了；不然的话，恩典就不再是恩典了。

“然而，以色列人的数目，必多如海边的沙，量不尽，数不完。从前在什么地方对他们说：‘你们不是我的子民’，将来要在那里对他们说：‘你们是永活的神的儿子。’

“你们要走进她的葡萄园（“葡萄园”原文作“葡萄树的行列”）里施行毁坏，但不可毁灭净尽，要除掉她的枝子，因为它们不属耶和华。

我必定赐福给你，必使你的后裔繁多，像天上的星，海边的沙；你的后裔必占领仇敌的城门。

若不是万军之耶和华给我们留下一些生还者，我们早已像所多玛、蛾摩拉一样了。

“‘但我要保留一些余剩的人，你们分散在各地的时候，你们必有人在列国中从刀剑下逃出来。

到那日，主必再用自己的手，赎回他子民中的余民，就是从亚述、埃及、巴忒罗、古实、以拦、示拿和哈马，以及众海岛所剩下的。

在乌西雅、约坦、亚哈斯和希西家作犹大王的时候，亚摩斯的儿子以赛亚看见异象，是关于犹大和耶路撒冷的：

在地上的万民，都像摇过的橄榄树，又像被摘取完了的葡萄树，剩下无几。

我们怎可以再违背你的诫命，与这些行可憎事的民族通婚呢？如果我们这样行，你岂不向我们发怒，消灭我们，以致没有一个剩余，或是逃脱的人吗？

现在，耶和华我们的神恩待我们片时，给我们存留一些逃脱的人，使我们像钉子钉在他的圣所那样的安稳，让我们的神光照我们的眼睛，使我们在所受的奴役中稍得复兴。

因此，耶和华必把以色列人交给敌人，直到那要生产的妇人生下孩子来；那时，他其余的兄弟，就必归回以色列人那里。他必站立起来，靠着耶和华的能力，靠着耶和华他神之名的威严，牧养他的羊群；他们必然安居，因为那时他必尊大，直到地极。这就是那带来太平的。亚述人入侵我们的国土，践踏我们宫殿的时候，我们就要兴起七个牧者；八个作领袖的人攻击他。他们必用刀剑治理亚述地，必用剑锋治理宁录地；亚述人入侵我们的国土，践踏我们境界的时候，他必拯救我们脱离亚述人的手。那时，雅各的余民，必在许多民族中，像从耶和华那里降下的露水，又像甘霖降在草上，不期望于人，也不等候世人。那时雅各的余民，必在万国中，在许多民族里，像树林里百兽中的狮子，又像幼狮在羊群中；他若经过，就必践踏、撕碎，没有人可以拯救。
