陶匠难道没有权用同一团的泥，又做贵重的、又做卑贱的器皿吗？

难道陶匠没有权从一团泥里拿一块做成贵重的器皿，又拿一块做成卑贱的器皿吗？

难道陶匠没有权从一团泥里拿一块做成贵重的器皿，又拿一块做成卑贱的器皿吗？

陶匠难道不可以从一团泥中拿一部分造贵重的器皿，又拿一部分造平凡的器皿吗？

难道陶匠没有权柄从同一团泥中，既造出贵重的器皿，又造出卑贱的器皿吗？

窰匠難道沒有權柄從一團泥裏拿一塊做成貴重的器皿，又拿一塊做成卑賤的器皿嗎？

難道陶匠沒有權從一團泥裏拿一塊做成貴重的器皿，又拿一塊做成卑賤的器皿嗎？

難道陶匠沒有權從一團泥裏拿一塊做成貴重的器皿，又拿一塊做成卑賤的器皿嗎？

陶匠難道不可以從一團泥中拿一部分造貴重的器皿，又拿一部分造平凡的器皿嗎？

陶匠難道沒有權用同一團的泥，又做貴重的、又做卑賤的器皿嗎？

窰匠對泥土難道沒有權柄從同一團泥作器皿，有的作成貴重的，有的作成下賤的麼？

難道陶匠沒有權柄從同一團泥中，既造出貴重的器皿，又造出卑賤的器皿嗎？

陶人豈無權於泥、由一團而造器、一為尊、一為卑乎、

泥豈非權在陶人、同一撮土而造之、或為器之貴、或為器之賤乎、

陶人豈無權於泥、由一團泥造一貴用之器、一賤用之器乎、

抑陶人於泥無自由處置之權、而不能於同一撮土中、製成貴賤不同之器耶？

Does not the potter have the right to make out of the same lump of clay some pottery for special purposes and some for common use?

Isn’t the potter free to make different kinds of pots out of the same lump of clay? Some are for special purposes. Others are for ordinary use.

Has the potter no right over the clay, to make out of the same lump one vessel for honorable use and another for dishonorable use?

When a potter makes jars out of clay, doesn’t he have a right to use the same lump of clay to make one jar for decoration and another to throw garbage into?

Or has the potter no right over the clay, to make from the same lump one piece of pottery for honor and another for dishonor?

Or does the potter not have a right over the clay, to make from the same lump one object for honorable use, and another for common use?

Does not the potter have power over the clay, from the same lump to make one vessel for honor and another for dishonor?

Or hath not the potter a right over the clay, from the same lump to make one part a vessel unto honor, and another unto dishonor?

Or has the potter no right over the clay, to make from the same lump one piece of pottery for honor and another for dishonor?

Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?

Has the potter no right to make from the same lump of clay one vessel for special use and another for ordinary use?

Or hasn’t the potter a right over the clay, from the same lump to make one part a vessel for honor, and another for dishonor?

耶和华啊！现在你还是我们的父；我们不过是泥土，你才是陶匠；我们众人都是你手所作的。

在富贵人的家里（“富贵人的家里”原文作“大房子”），不但有金器、银器，也有木器、瓦器；有贵重的，也有卑贱的。人若自洁，离开卑贱的事，就必作贵重的器皿，成为圣洁，合主使用，预备行各样的善事。

主对他说：“你去吧！这人是我拣选的器皿，为要把我的名传给外族人、君王和以色列人。

耶和华所造的各有目的，连恶人也是为祸患的日子而造的。

双生子还没有生下来，善恶也没有行出来（为要坚定神拣选人的旨意，不是由于行为，而是由于那呼召者），

我就下到陶匠的家里去，见他正在转盘旁工作。陶匠用他手中的泥所做的器皿坏了，他就用这泥再做别的器皿，照着自己的意思去作。于是耶和华的话临到我，说：“以色列家啊！难道我不能待你们像这陶匠所作的一样吗？”这是耶和华的宣告。“看哪！泥在陶匠的手中怎样，以色列家啊！你们在我的手中也必怎样。

如果神有意要显明他的忿怒，彰显他的大能，而多多容忍那可怒、预备遭毁灭的器皿，为了要使他丰盛的荣耀，彰显在那蒙恩、早已预备要得荣耀的器皿上，这又有什么不可呢？

这样看来，他愿意怜悯谁就怜悯谁，愿意谁刚硬就使谁刚硬。

哥尼雅这个人是被鄙视、被摔碎的瓶子，是没有人喜悦的器皿吗？他和他的后裔为什么被驱赶，被抛弃到他们不认识的地去呢？

以色列被吞吃，如今在万国中，好像没有人喜悦的器皿。
