For Scripture says to Pharaoh:“ I raised you up for this very purpose, that I might display my power in you and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth.”

In Scripture, God says to Pharaoh,“ I had a special reason for making you king. I decided to use you to show my power. I wanted my name to become known everywhere on earth.”( Exodus 9:16)

願他們蒙羞惶恐，直到永遠；願他們抱愧滅亡。願他們知道，你——名為耶和華的，唯獨你是全地之上的至高者。

耶和華使人貧窮，也使人富有；使人降卑，也使人升高。他從塵土中興起貧弱者，從糞堆中提拔貧窮人，要使他們與高貴者同坐，使他們繼承榮耀的寶座；因為大地的支柱都屬於耶和華，他把世界安置在其上。

我們有禍了！誰能解救我們脫離這大能之神的手呢？這神就是在曠野用各種災害擊打埃及人的那一位。

耶和華我們的神哪，現在求你拯救我們脫離亞述王的手，使地上萬國都知道，唯獨你——你是耶和華！」

耶和華緊拉著居魯士的右手，讓列國降服在他面前，使君王們的腰帶鬆開；又讓門在他面前敞開，使城門也不關閉——耶和華對所膏立的居魯士如此說：「我必在你前面行，修平崎嶇之地；我要打碎銅門，砍斷鐵閂。我要把暗處的寶物和隱祕處的寶藏賜給你，好讓你知道：是我耶和華以色列的神提你的名召喚了你。

如果你在這個時候沉默不語，幫助和解救就會從別的地方為猶太人興起，而你和你的父家將會滅亡。誰知道，你得了王后之位，或許就是為了這樣一個時候！」

既然經文預先看見神要使外邦人因信稱義，就預先把福音傳給了亞伯拉罕，說：「萬國都要藉著你蒙祝福。」

然而經上是怎麼說的呢？「把女僕和她的兒子趕出去！因為女僕的兒子，絕不可以與自由女人的兒子一同做繼承人。」

但神對他的答覆是怎麼說的呢？「我為自己保留了七千人，他們是沒有向巴力屈膝的。」

王啊，至高神把國度、權勢、尊榮和威嚴賜給了你先王尼布甲尼撒！因著神所賜給他的權勢，所有的民族、國家、語言群體都在他面前戰兢恐懼；他想要殺誰就殺誰，想要讓誰活就讓誰活，想要高舉誰就高舉誰，想要降卑誰就降卑誰。然而，他心裡高舉自己，靈裡變得剛硬，以致行事狂傲，就從王權的寶座上被廢黜，他的尊榮也被奪去了。他從世人中被趕出，他的心變得像獸的心一樣，他的住處與野驢在一起，他像牛那樣吃牧草，身體被天上的露水濕透，直到他明白：至高神在人的國中掌權，願意立誰就立誰治理國家。

然而，經上的話把萬物都圈在罪孽之下，為要使這因信耶穌基督而來的應許，賜給那些相信的人。

禍哉！亞述，我怒氣的棍！他們手中的杖就是我的憤怒。我要派遣他去攻擊一個不敬虔的國家，吩咐他去攻打我所惱怒的子民，擄財掠貨，踐踏他們，如同踐踏街上的泥土。

王啊，這樹就是你！你繼續強大，變得堅壯，你的權勢繼續強大，高達於天，你的權柄直到地極。
