For Scripture says to Pharaoh:“ I raised you up for this very purpose, that I might display my power in you and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth.”

In Scripture, God says to Pharaoh,“ I had a special reason for making you king. I decided to use you to show my power. I wanted my name to become known everywhere on earth.”( Exodus 9:16)

我们有祸了！谁能解救我们脱离这大能之神的手呢？这神就是在旷野用各种灾害击打埃及人的那一位。

耶和华我们的神哪，现在求你拯救我们脱离亚述王的手，使地上万国都知道，唯独你——你是耶和华！”

耶和华紧拉着居鲁士的右手，让列国降服在他面前，使君王们的腰带松开；又让门在他面前敞开，使城门也不关闭——耶和华对所膏立的居鲁士如此说：“我必在你前面行，修平崎岖之地；我要打碎铜门，砍断铁闩。我要把暗处的宝物和隐秘处的宝藏赐给你，好让你知道：是我耶和华以色列的神提你的名召唤了你。

如果你在这个时候沉默不语，帮助和解救就会从别的地方为犹太人兴起，而你和你的父家将会灭亡。谁知道，你得了王后之位，或许就是为了这样一个时候！”

既然经文预先看见神要使外邦人因信称义，就预先把福音传给了亚伯拉罕，说：“万国都要藉着你蒙祝福。”

然而经上是怎么说的呢？“把女仆和她的儿子赶出去！因为女仆的儿子，绝不可以与自由女人的儿子一同做继承人。”

但神对他的答复是怎么说的呢？“我为自己保留了七千人，他们是没有向巴力屈膝的。”

王啊，至高神把国度、权势、尊荣和威严赐给了你先王尼布甲尼撒！因着神所赐给他的权势，所有的民族、国家、语言群体都在他面前战兢恐惧；他想要杀谁就杀谁，想要让谁活就让谁活，想要高举谁就高举谁，想要降卑谁就降卑谁。然而，他心里高举自己，灵里变得刚硬，以致行事狂傲，就从王权的宝座上被废黜，他的尊荣也被夺去了。他从世人中被赶出，他的心变得像兽的心一样，他的住处与野驴在一起，他像牛那样吃牧草，身体被天上的露水湿透，直到他明白：至高神在人的国中掌权，愿意立谁就立谁治理国家。

然而，经上的话把万物都圈在罪孽之下，为要使这因信耶稣基督而来的应许，赐给那些相信的人。

祸哉！亚述，我怒气的棍！他们手中的杖就是我的愤怒。我要派遣他去攻击一个不敬虔的国家，吩咐他去攻打我所恼怒的子民，掳财掠货，践踏他们，如同践踏街道上的泥土。

王啊，这树就是你！你继续强大，变得坚壮，你的权势继续强大，高达于天，你的权柄直到地极。
