For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor. No good thing does he withhold from those who walk uprightly.O Lord of hosts, blessed is the one who trusts in you!

But the Lord God helps me; therefore I have not been disgraced; therefore I have set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be put to shame.He who vindicates me is near. Who will contend with me? Let us stand up together. Who is my adversary? Let him come near to me.Behold, the Lord God helps me; who will declare me guilty? Behold, all of them will wear out like a garment; the moth will eat them up.

After these things the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision:“ Fear not, Abram, I am your shield; your reward shall be very great.”

And I will give the dead bodies of the host of the Philistines this day to the birds of the air and to the wild beasts of the earth, that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel,and that all this assembly may know that the Lord saves not with sword and spear. For the battle is the Lord’s, and he will give you into our hand.”

The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. Selah

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea,though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling. Selah

And Joshua captured all these kings and their land at one time, because the Lord God of Israel fought for Israel.

Jonathan said to the young man who carried his armor,“ Come, let us go over to the garrison of these uncircumcised. It may be that the Lord will work for us, for nothing can hinder the Lord from saving by many or by few.”
