For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.

上帝所預知者、又預定效其子之狀、使為眾兄弟中之冢子、

其所知者、則預定效其子、使彼為眾子中冢子、

天主所預知者、則預定肖其子之狀、使彼為眾子中之長子、

如此之人、亦即天主依其聖意而見召者也。蓋天主所預寵者、乃預簡之、俾克肖其聖子、欲使其聖子成為眾子中之冢息耳。

For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.

God planned that those he had chosen would become like his Son. In that way, Christ will be the first and most honored among many brothers and sisters.

For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.

just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love,having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will,

“ Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.”

In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will,

who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began,

He indeed was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you

All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

Nevertheless the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal:“ The Lord knows those who are His,” and,“ Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity.”

elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in sanctification of the Spirit, for obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace be multiplied.

But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory,

And as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly Man.

and that He might make known the riches of His glory on the vessels of mercy, which He had prepared beforehand for glory,

Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence.

God has not cast away His people whom He foreknew. Or do you not know what the Scripture says of Elijah, how he pleads with God against Israel, saying,

But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.

And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one:I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.

who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself.

They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.

and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.

So the Lord said to Moses,“ I will also do this thing that you have spoken; for you have found grace in My sight, and I know you by name.”

Then Moses said to the Lord,“ See, You say to me,‘ Bring up this people.’ But You have not let me know whom You will send with me. Yet You have said,‘ I know you by name, and you have also found grace in My sight.’

For whoever does the will of My Father in heaven is My brother and sister and mother.”

For to which of the angels did He ever say:“ You are My Son, Today I have begotten You”? And again:“ I will be to Him a Father, And He shall be to Me a Son”?But when He again brings the firstborn into the world, He says:“ Let all the angels of God worship Him.”

and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth. To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood,and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

For the Lord knows the way of the righteous, But the way of the ungodly shall perish.

And I have declared to them Your name, and will declare it, that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.”

But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.

Jesus said to her,“ Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren and say to them,‘ I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.’”

And for their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they also may be sanctified by the truth.

For both He who sanctifies and those who are being sanctified are all of one, for which reason He is not ashamed to call them brethren,saying:“ I will declare Your name to My brethren; In the midst of the assembly I will sing praise to You.”And again:“ I will put My trust in Him.” And again:“ Here am I and the children whom God has given Me.”Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil,and release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

And then I will declare to them,‘ I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’

Also I will make him My firstborn, The highest of the kings of the earth.

And the King will answer and say to them,‘ Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’
