For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.

其所知者、則預定效其子、使彼為眾子中冢子、

天主所預知者、則預定肖其子之狀、使彼為眾子中之長子、

如此之人、亦即天主依其聖意而見召者也。蓋天主所預寵者、乃預簡之、俾克肖其聖子、欲使其聖子成為眾子中之冢息耳。

For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.

God planned that those he had chosen would become like his Son. In that way, Christ will be the first and most honored among many brothers and sisters.

For God knew his people in advance, and he chose them to become like his Son, so that his Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.

For those he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, so that he would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.

In him we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things according to the counsel of his will,

who saved us and called us to a holy calling, not because of our works but because of his own purpose and grace, which he gave us in Christ Jesus before the ages began,

He was foreknown before the foundation of the world but was made manifest in the last times for the sake of you

and all who dwell on earth will worship it, everyone whose name has not been written before the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who was slain.

But God’s firm foundation stands, bearing this seal:“ The Lord knows those who are his,” and,“ Let everyone who names the name of the Lord depart from iniquity.”

according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in the sanctification of the Spirit, for obedience to Jesus Christ and for sprinkling with his blood: May grace and peace be multiplied to you.

But we impart a secret and hidden wisdom of God, which God decreed before the ages for our glory.

Just as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we shall also bear the image of the man of heaven.

in order to make known the riches of his glory for vessels of mercy, which he has prepared beforehand for glory—

Beloved, we are God’s children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is.

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities— all things were created through him and for him.And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together.And he is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent.

God has not rejected his people whom he foreknew. Do you not know what the Scripture says of Elijah, how he appeals to God against Israel?

And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.

The glory that you have given me I have given to them, that they may be one even as we are one,I in them and you in me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that you sent me and loved them even as you loved me.

who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself.

They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.

and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.

And the Lord said to Moses,“ This very thing that you have spoken I will do, for you have found favor in my sight, and I know you by name.”

Moses said to the Lord,“ See, you say to me,‘ Bring up this people,’ but you have not let me know whom you will send with me. Yet you have said,‘ I know you by name, and you have also found favor in my sight.’

For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.”

For to which of the angels did God ever say,“ You are my Son, today I have begotten you”? Or again,“ I will be to him a father, and he shall be to me a son”?And again, when he brings the firstborn into the world, he says,“ Let all God’s angels worship him.”

and from Jesus Christ the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of kings on earth. To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his bloodand made us a kingdom, priests to his God and Father, to him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

for the Lord knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish.

I made known to them your name, and I will continue to make it known, that the love with which you have loved me may be in them, and I in them.”

But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires.

Jesus said to her,“ Do not cling to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to my brothers and say to them,‘ I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’”

And for their sake I consecrate myself, that they also may be sanctified in truth.

For he who sanctifies and those who are sanctified all have one source. That is why he is not ashamed to call them brothers,saying,“ I will tell of your name to my brothers; in the midst of the congregation I will sing your praise.”And again,“ I will put my trust in him.” And again,“ Behold, I and the children God has given me.”Since therefore the children share in flesh and blood, he himself likewise partook of the same things, that through death he might destroy the one who has the power of death, that is, the devil,and deliver all those who through fear of death were subject to lifelong slavery.

And then will I declare to them,‘ I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’

And I will make him the firstborn, the highest of the kings of the earth.

And the King will answer them,‘ Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’
