上帝所預知者、又預定效其子之狀、使為眾兄弟中之冢子、

其所知者、則預定效其子、使彼為眾子中冢子、

天主所預知者、則預定肖其子之狀、使彼為眾子中之長子、

如此之人、亦即天主依其聖意而見召者也。蓋天主所預寵者、乃預簡之、俾克肖其聖子、欲使其聖子成為眾子中之冢息耳。

For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.

God planned that those he had chosen would become like his Son. In that way, Christ will be the first and most honored among many brothers and sisters.

我儕於彼亦得為業、乃依己旨行萬事者所預定、

彼救我儕、召以聖召、非依我行、乃依己旨與恩、即永世之先、由基督耶穌而賜我者、

彼於創世之先、固為上帝所預知、但在季世、為爾藉之信上帝者而顯焉、

宅地之人、其名自創世時未錄於見殺之羔維生之册者、皆將拜獸、

然上帝鞏固之基仍立、有印誌云、主識己民、又云、凡呼主名者、宜遠不義、

依父上帝預知而蒙選、由聖神而成聖、以致順服、灑以耶穌基督之血者、願恩惠平康、益增於爾、○

所言者上帝奧妙之智、即昔所隱、上帝於萬世之先、預定以榮我儕者也、

我儕既有屬土者之狀、亦將有屬天者之狀矣、○

且欲示其豐富之榮於矜恤之器、備以獲榮者、

愛友乎、今我儕為上帝子、將來若何、尚未顯明、所可知者、彼顯著時我克肖之、蓋將見之、如其固然也、

彼乃莫能見之上帝像、為凡受造者之首生、蓋萬有本之而造、在天在地、有形無形、或位或權、或執政者、或有能者、皆由之而造、且歸之焉、彼先萬有萬有本之而立、教會乃身、彼為首、為元始、自死而首生、致為萬事倡、

上帝未棄其所預知之民、爾豈不知經指以利亞所云、其籲上帝、而訟以色列人曰、

我儕去帕於面、如於鑑反照主榮、皆化為主像、自榮致榮、如出乎主、即聖神也、

爾予我之榮、我已予彼、使之為一、如爾我為一然、我於彼中、爾於我中、使之成全於一、致世知爾遣我、且愛彼如愛我也、

彼將依其能服萬有歸己之功用、化我儕卑賤之體、如其榮耀之體焉、

彼不屬世、如我不屬世然、

且衣以新人、乃肖上帝、由真理之聖與義而造者也、○

耶和華諭摩西曰、爾所求者、我必為之、因爾沾恩於我前、我以爾名識爾、

摩西謂耶和華曰、爾命我導斯民、未嘗示我遣誰偕往、惟爾曾曰、我以爾名識爾、爾沾恩於我前、

凡遵我父旨者、即我兄弟姊妹及母也、

蓋上帝曾向何天使云、爾乃我子、今日生爾、又云、我將為其父、彼將為我子、其使冢子入世時、則曰、上帝之使、皆當拜之、

並自耶穌基督、即忠信之證、由死而首生、為世上諸王之主者也、彼愛我儕、以其血釋我諸罪、使我儕為國、為其父上帝之祭司、願榮與權歸之、以至世世、阿們、

義者之途、為耶和華所識、惡者之途、終必泯滅、

我既以爾名示之、又將示之、致爾愛我之愛在彼中、我亦在彼中矣、

惟主耶穌基督是服、毋為形軀是圖、以縱其慾、

耶穌曰、勿捫我、以我尚未升至父、惟往語我兄弟云、我升至我父、亦爾父、我上帝、亦爾上帝、

我為彼而聖、使彼亦以真理而聖、

夫聖之者與聖者、皆出於一、故稱之為兄弟而不恥、云、我將宣爾名於我兄弟、頌爾於會中、又云、我將賴之、又云、試觀我及上帝所賜我之眾子、夫眾子既屬血氣、彼亦同之、致得由死而滅秉死之權者、即魔也、且釋因畏死而終身屈服者、

我將示之曰、我未嘗識爾、作不法者其去我、

我必立之為冢子、地上至高之王兮、

王將謂之曰、我誠語汝、既行之於我兄弟至微之一、即行之於我也、
