For you didn’t receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry,“ Abba! Father!”

蓋爾曹非受為奴之神、復致畏懼、乃受為子之神、因而呼曰阿爸父也、

今而後、爾非奴之操心危、所操者乃子之心、籲曰、阿爸父也、

爾曹所受之神、非使爾自視為奴、致仍畏懼、爾曹所受之神、乃使爾自視為子、我儕由之而呼阿巴、父也、

蓋爾所受者、非畏首畏尾之奴隸情緒；爾所受者、乃為呼爺喚父之兒女精神也。

The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry,“ Abba, Father.”

The Spirit you received doesn’t make you slaves. Otherwise you would live in fear again. Instead, the Holy Spirit you received made you God’s adopted child. By the Spirit’s power we call God Abba. Abba means Father.

For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry,“ Abba! Father!”

So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own children. Now we call him,“ Abba, Father.”

that he might redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of children.And because you are children, God sent out the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying,“ Abba, Father!”So you are no longer a bondservant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self- control.

But we received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is from God, that we might know the things that were freely given to us by God.

having predestined us for adoption as children through Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his desire,

and might deliver all of them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God;

I will give them in my house and within my walls a memorial and a name better than of sons and of daughters. I will give them an everlasting name that will not be cut off.

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear has punishment. He who fears is not made perfect in love.

“ But I said,‘ How I desire to put you among the children, and give you a pleasant land, a goodly heritage of the armies of the nations!’ and I said,‘ You shall call me“ My Father”, and shall not turn away from following me.’

He said,“ Abba, Father, all things are possible to you. Please remove this cup from me. However, not what I desire, but what you desire.”

We were also assigned an inheritance in him, having been foreordained according to the purpose of him who does all things after the counsel of his will,to the end that we should be to the praise of his glory, we who had before hoped in Christ.In him you also, having heard the word of the truth, the Good News of your salvation— in whom, having also believed, you were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit,who is a pledge of our inheritance, to the redemption of God’s own possession, to the praise of his glory.

He said to them,“ When you pray, say,‘ Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy. May your Kingdom come. May your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.

For you have not come to a mountain that might be touched, and that burned with fire, and to blackness, darkness, storm,the sound of a trumpet, and the voice of words; which those who heard it begged that not one more word should be spoken to them,for they could not stand that which was commanded,“ If even an animal touches the mountain, it shall be stoned”.So fearful was the appearance that Moses said,“ I am terrified and trembling.”But you have come to Mount Zion, and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to innumerable multitudes of angels,to the festal gathering and assembly of the firstborn who are enrolled in heaven, to God the Judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect,to Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better than that of Abel.

Jesus said to her,“ Don’t hold me, for I haven’t yet ascended to my Father; but go to my brothers and tell them,‘ I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’”

saying,“ Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done.”

They said to Moses,“ Speak with us yourself, and we will listen; but don’t let God speak with us, lest we die.”

When he has come, he will convict the world about sin, about righteousness, and about judgment;

Not only so, but ourselves also, who have the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for adoption, the redemption of our body.

When he saw Jesus, he cried out, and fell down before him, and with a loud voice said,“ What do I have to do with you, Jesus, you Son of the Most High God? I beg you, don’t torment me!”

The children of Israel spoke to Moses, saying,“ Behold, we perish! We are undone! We are all undone!

You believe that God is one. You do well. The demons also believe, and shudder.

Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles,“ Brothers, what shall we do?”

All the people of the surrounding country of the Gadarenes asked him to depart from them, for they were very much afraid. Then he entered into the boat and returned.

He called for lights, sprang in, fell down trembling before Paul and Silas,
