For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out,“ Abba, Father.”

爾曹所受之神、非使爾自視為奴、致仍畏懼、爾曹所受之神、乃使爾自視為子、我儕由之而呼阿巴、父也、

蓋爾所受者、非畏首畏尾之奴隸情緒；爾所受者、乃為呼爺喚父之兒女精神也。

The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry,“ Abba, Father.”

The Spirit you received doesn’t make you slaves. Otherwise you would live in fear again. Instead, the Holy Spirit you received made you God’s adopted child. By the Spirit’s power we call God Abba. Abba means Father.

For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry,“ Abba! Father!”

So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own children. Now we call him,“ Abba, Father.”

to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out,“ Abba, Father!”Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.

having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will,

and release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God,

Even to them I will give in My house And within My walls a place and a name Better than that of sons and daughters; I will give them an everlasting name That shall not be cut off.

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.

“ But I said:‘ How can I put you among the children And give you a pleasant land, A beautiful heritage of the hosts of nations?’“ And I said:‘ You shall call Me,“ My Father,” And not turn away from Me.’

And He said,“ Abba, Father, all things are possible for You. Take this cup away from Me; nevertheless, not what I will, but what You will.”

In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will,that we who first trusted in Christ should be to the praise of His glory.In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise,who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.

So He said to them,“ When you pray, say: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

For you have not come to the mountain that may be touched and that burned with fire, and to blackness and darkness and tempest,and the sound of a trumpet and the voice of words, so that those who heard it begged that the word should not be spoken to them anymore.( For they could not endure what was commanded:“ And if so much as a beast touches the mountain, it shall be stoned or shot with an arrow.”And so terrifying was the sight that Moses said,“ I am exceedingly afraid and trembling.”)But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels,to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are registered in heaven, to God the Judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect,to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel.

Jesus said to her,“ Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren and say to them,‘ I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.’”

saying,“ Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done.”

Then they said to Moses,“ You speak with us, and we will hear; but let not God speak with us, lest we die.”

And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:

Not only that, but we also who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body.

When he saw Jesus, he cried out, fell down before Him, and with a loud voice said,“ What have I to do with You, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I beg You, do not torment me!”

So the children of Israel spoke to Moses, saying,“ Surely we die, we perish, we all perish!

You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe— and tremble!

Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles,“ Men and brethren, what shall we do?”

Then the whole multitude of the surrounding region of the Gadarenes asked Him to depart from them, for they were seized with great fear. And He got into the boat and returned.

Then he called for a light, ran in, and fell down trembling before Paul and Silas.
