你們若順從肉體活着，必定會死；若靠着聖靈把身體的惡行處死，就必存活。

For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live.

If you live under the power of sin, you will die. But by the Spirit’s power you can put to death the sins you commit. Then you will live.

順着肉體撒種的，必從肉體收敗壞；順着聖靈撒種的，必從聖靈收永生。

親愛的，你們是客旅，是寄居的，我勸你們要禁戒肉體的情慾；這情慾是與靈魂爭戰的。

所以，要治死你們在地上的肢體；就如淫亂、污穢、邪情、惡慾和貪婪－貪婪就是拜偶像。因這些事，上帝的憤怒必臨到那些悖逆的人。當你們在這些事中活着的時候，你們的行為也曾是這樣的。但現在你們要棄絕這一切的事，就是惱恨、憤怒、惡毒、毀謗和口中污穢的言語。

我克制己身，使它完全順服，免得我傳福音給別人，自己反而被淘汰了。

凡屬基督耶穌的人，是已經把肉體與肉體的邪情私慾同釘在十字架上了。

既然你們因順從真理而潔淨了自己的心靈，能真誠愛弟兄，就該以清潔的心彼此切實相愛。

訓練我們除去不敬虔的心和世俗的情慾，在今世過克己、正直、敬虔的生活，

為要使律法要求的義，實現在我們這不隨從肉體、只隨從聖靈去行的人身上。因為，隨從肉體的人體貼肉體的事；隨從聖靈的人體貼聖靈的事。體貼肉體就是死；體貼聖靈就是生命和平安。

你們要脫去從前的行為，脫去舊我；這舊我是因私慾的迷惑而漸漸敗壞的。

因為我們屬肉體的時候，那因律法而生犯罪的慾望在我們肢體中發動，以致結出死亡的果子。

但每一個人被誘惑是因自己的私慾牽引而被誘惑的。私慾既懷了胎，就生出罪來；罪既長成，就生出死來。

情慾的事都是顯而易見的；就如淫亂、污穢、放蕩、拜偶像、行邪術、仇恨、紛爭、忌恨、憤怒、自私、分派、結黨、嫉妒、醉酒、荒宴等類。我從前告訴過你們，現在又告訴你們，做這樣事的人必不能承受上帝的國。

如今，那些在基督耶穌裏的人就不被定罪了。因為賜生命的聖靈的律，在基督耶穌裏從罪和死的律中把你釋放出來。

因為罪的工價乃是死；惟有上帝的恩賜，在我們的主基督耶穌裏，乃是永生。

不要醉酒，酒能使人放蕩；要被聖靈充滿。

不要使上帝的聖靈擔憂，你們原是受了他的印記，等候得救贖的日子來到。

那麼，你們現在所看為羞恥的事，當時有甚麼果子呢？那些事的結局就是死。

至於淫亂和一切污穢，或是貪婪，在你們中間連提都不可，這才合乎聖徒的體統。淫詞、妄語和粗俗的俏皮話都不合宜；總要說感謝的話。要確實知道，無論是淫亂的，是污穢的，是貪心的（貪心的就是拜偶像的），在基督和上帝的國裏都得不到基業。
