For if you live according to the flesh you will die, but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.

爾如從欲、取死之道也。存神去欲、得生之道也。

For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live.

If you live under the power of sin, you will die. But by the Spirit’s power you can put to death the sins you commit. Then you will live.

For if you live by its dictates, you will die. But if through the power of the Spirit you put to death the deeds of your sinful nature, you will live.

Put to death therefore what is earthly in you: sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.On account of these the wrath of God is coming.In these you too once walked, when you were living in them.But now you must put them all away: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and obscene talk from your mouth.

But I discipline my body and keep it under control, lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualified.

And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

Having purified your souls by your obedience to the truth for a sincere brotherly love, love one another earnestly from a pure heart,

training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age,

in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit.For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace.

to put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires,

For while we were living in the flesh, our sinful passions, aroused by the law, were at work in our members to bear fruit for death.

But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire.Then desire when it has conceived gives birth to sin, and sin when it is fully grown brings forth death.

Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality,idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions,envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death.

For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit,

And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.

But what fruit were you getting at that time from the things of which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death.

But sexual immorality and all impurity or covetousness must not even be named among you, as is proper among saints.Let there be no filthiness nor foolish talk nor crude joking, which are out of place, but instead let there be thanksgiving.For you may be sure of this, that everyone who is sexually immoral or impure, or who is covetous( that is, an idolater), has no inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.
