因为你们如果顺着肉体而活，就将死去；但如果顺着圣灵治死身体的所作所为，就将活着。

你们若顺从肉体活着，必要死；若靠着圣灵治死身体的恶行，必要活着。

你们若顺从肉体活着，必定会死；若靠着圣灵把身体的恶行处死，就必存活。

你们若顺从肉体活着，必定会死；若靠着圣灵把身体的恶行处死，就必存活。

你们若随从罪恶本性活着，必定死亡；但若靠着圣灵除去身体的恶行，就必活着。

如果随着肉体而活，你们必定死；如果靠着圣灵治死身体的恶行，你们就必活着。

爾若依形軀而生、則必死、惟以神而泯身之所行者、則必生、

從欲者死、惟藉聖神以滅吾身情欲、則生、

爾曹若從肉體而行、必死、若以聖神而滅身之邪行、必生、

爾如從欲、取死之道也。存神去欲、得生之道也。

For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live.

If you live under the power of sin, you will die. But by the Spirit’s power you can put to death the sins you commit. Then you will live.

For if you live according to the flesh you will die, but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.

For if you live by its dictates, you will die. But if through the power of the Spirit you put to death the deeds of your sinful nature, you will live.

因为顺着自己肉体撒种的，就会从肉体收衰朽；顺着圣灵撒种的，就会从圣灵收永恒的生命。

各位蒙爱的人哪，我劝你们：做为过客和寄居的，要远避那与你们灵魂争战的肉体欲望。

所以，当把你们属世的各个部分看为死了的，就如淫乱、污秽、邪情、恶欲和贪心，贪心就是拜偶像。为了这些事，神的震怒就临到那些不信从的儿女身上；当你们从前生活在这些事中的时候，也在其中生活。但如今，你们也要脱去一切暴怒、愤恨、恶毒、毁谤，以及从你们口中所出的污秽的话；

然而我不断克制自己的身体，使它服从我，免得我传道给别人，自己反而经不起考验了。

那些属于基督耶稣的人，已经把肉体与肉体的渴望和情欲一同钉上十字架了。

你们既然藉着顺从真理，使自己的灵魂纯洁，以致有了不虚假的弟兄之爱，就应当以洁净的心，彼此热切地相爱。

这恩典管教我们，使我们拒绝不敬神的事和地上的欲望，在今世能过自制、公义、敬神的生活，

使律法的公义规定，成全在我们这些不顺着肉体却顺着圣灵行走的人身上。要知道，顺着肉体的人，思想属肉体的事；顺着圣灵的人，思想属圣灵的事。属肉体的思想带来死亡；属圣灵的思想带来生命和平安。

为了你们脱去在过去行为上的旧人。这旧人顺着迷惑人的私欲受败坏，

原来，当我们还在肉体中的时候，罪的欲望藉着律法在我们身体的各部分做工，以致为死亡结了果子。

而每个人受诱惑，都是被自己的欲望所牵扯、所引诱的；一旦欲望怀了胎，就生下罪来；罪长成了，就生出死亡。

肉体的行为是清清楚楚的，它们就是：通奸、淫乱、污秽、好色、拜偶像、行邪术、仇恨、纷争、嫉恨、暴怒、争竞、分裂、结派、嫉妒、凶杀、醉酒、荒宴以及类似这样的事。对这些事，我现在要预先告诉你们，就像我以前告诉过你们的那样：行这些事的人不会继承神的国。

所以现在，那些在基督耶稣里的人，就不被定罪了，因为圣灵的生命法则，在基督耶稣里把你从罪和死的法则中释放了出来。

因为罪的工价就是死；但神的恩赐，在我们的主基督耶稣里，却是永恒的生命。

不要醉酒，醉酒带来放荡，而要被圣灵充满：

不要让神的圣灵忧伤；你们蒙了他的印记，直到得赎的日子。

那么，在你们现在看为羞耻的那些事上，你们当时到底得了什么果子呢？那些事的结局就是死。

至于淫乱和一切污秽，或是贪心，在你们中间连提都不可提，这样才与圣徒相宜。污秽的言行、愚妄的话语、下流的笑话，这些都不合宜；反而倒要说感谢的话。实际上你们应当清楚知道这一点：所有淫乱的、污秽的，或贪心的——就是拜偶像的——在基督和神的国度里都得不到继业。
